Crashes the game sometimes just after saving, or right before saving. Removed.
If the holotape doesn't spawn on start, you can use console. Open up the console, in my case with `, then help "Settings [Automatic Save]", then use the id in player.additem ID 1. The settings holotape will appear in your inventory.
Tested, and the game saves every X seconds/minutes, my chosen interval. Latest FO4 in 2021.
To those who get a crash when they try to load a save:
I found a solution. Disable the mod, then find an older save that you can load it doesn't matter how old it is, it should load, my last three recent saves weren't loading and resulted in a CTD, so I loaded an earlier save about 2 hours of gameplay in difference, it loaded (I spent about two hours settlement building) then I tried to load the recent saves that would CTD, they loaded, after which I tried saving and exiting then loading, it never worked, it crashed (keep in mind this save was with the autosave mod off). So I once again loaded the same earlier save then loaded the most recent save, decided to fast travel to another cell. Saved then exited. Then loaded the recent save in the new location. It worked.
Leave this autosave mod off, and don't install any others unless they are for current patches. I can deal with crashes from time to time, because I would rather that then losing hours of progress on from another random crash, problem is that I think the only crashes I'm getting is because of this mod, not only that but this is now making it difficult to load games to continue playing.
TL:DR; Disable the mod. Load an earlier save where you don't get a crash. If that works once in game load the recent saves where the save is corrupted and results in a CTD. If that works, fast travel outside of the current cell, so to another location (I think a cell is 2 km2). Could do it on foot. Then save and exit. Start the game and load a the new save you made in the different cell, it should load.
If it doesn't work then I don't know what to do, that was how I bypassed the CTDs and the game is back to normal. Leave this mod and any other save mod off unless they are for current patches.
This mod wasn't updated in quite some time but I am in the need of it so I'll be testing it if it still works with the current version of the game and post my results later for people who look for such mod.
@Edited: -Autosave after combat ends; Works. -Autosave after discovering new location; Works. -Autosave after fast travel; Works. -Autosave after specific amount of time; Works. -Autosave delays/exceptions seem to work correctly. -Everything else; Works too.
PS - Remember to DISABLE regular autosave system in game options otherwise expect crashes.
Am I completely missing something? I don't see any of those options in the description or the holotape. Also I tried this mod and it caused a massive amount of script lag. It also saved MANY times in bad places like during dialogue and while in combat. Please let me know what you did to get this to work as I've been trying to find a good timed autosave mod for what feels like ages now but they all seem to be fundamentally broken.

open console and type:
help save 4
then it should be listet as:
Note: (XX000F9A) "Settings_[Automatic_Save]"
for me it was 3F000F9A (the ID.)
then add it to your inventory
player.additem 3F000F9A

If you have this in any ini the mod will not work
[SaveGame]
bDisableAutoSave=1
I had a more detailed save system.
I could not stop it from saving every location.
It did not uninstall completely.
I like this mod here much better.
