This mod uses F4SE's custom control map. If you go into Data/F4SE, you'll see a file called CustomControlMap.txt. Modifying this file allows you to create keybindings for things that the game UI doesn't allow you to, such as remapping the quickslot buttons. This mod merely switches the keybind for VATS (Q) with the keybind for quickslot 12 (=).
Since there are so many different possible keybind setups, I'm won't be able to create new custom keybinds for every one of them. For those of you who wants a different setup, you're gonna have to create one yourself.

Just posting this to show there's interest - I would love to test this for you, as I exclusively use a controller, but I can't until f4se works on my system again (Win7 incompatibility I think).
thank you! this is the only mod that actually lets me ignore vats on controller(i dunno how to swap keybinds to buttons, others are more complete but i don't wanna play on kb&mouse), u should however update it with the ignore as food fix, cause not everyone knows how to use that stuff.
the key for replacing vats doesnt really work in vr it slows down time if I put it on my favorites but theres no way to change hotkeys since vr does not have hotkeys
for those having the rapid thirst issue, there's a post a while back by user name Marukusu that offers a relatively easy fix if you have FO4Edit. here's a copy/paste of their solution
1.Open “Bullet Time VAT Replacer.esp” whit FO4Edit 2.Select “Ingestible” 3.Select "TimeDilationToggler" 4. Find “KWDA – Keywords” 5.Add new keyword by right clicking to right side of KWDA – Keywords (Click yes to the warning). 6.Edit the keyword NULL - Null Reference [00000000] to HC_IgnoreAsFood [KYWD:00249F52] 7.Close and save
this was significantly less daunting than it may appear and was pretty easy to do.. thank you very much for sharing this information as saves this aspect of the mod.
well, if you keep it as the stock key (q i think) it activates when you hit that key if you installed and enabled correctly
Edit: you have to rebind the key everytime you open the game now, it used to be that it'd save that but at least for me it doesnt anymore that might be your problem
Edit 2: If you bind your vats to anything other than q vtds will activate when you press q without having to rebind the key every time you restart the game.
This mod looms really great. But I am in survival and every use extremely lowers my hydration, so every time I get a message from the game about the next critical hydration level. A pity but unusable.
hi, I can't figure out how to use crits. i never used vats much as i didnt like the system, but in this i really cant find any crit meters or how to execute a crit

If this works, you'll need to use your keyboard to bind the toggler to hotkey 12 (= on the keyboard). Then, activate VTDS using left shoulder.

The item is simply not present in the crafting station and the command console simply says that it couldn't find the item.
EDIT: I just forgot to install it. I'm a genius.
EDIT 2: why the hell does it not just change the VATS key to use bullet time? if you're not going to do at least that then let us keep VATS!
