    THIS MOD IS OUTDATED BY TINA DE LUCA VOICED AS A SETTLER!


    There’s an updated version of this mod called Tina De Luca Voiced as a Settler (Dependency Revisited). It has all the benefits of this mod plus it adds over 50 new dialogue lines to Tina as a settler to fix the NPC’s lack of vanilla voice data and settlement dialogues after her recruitment. I decided to upload it as a separate mod because Dependency Quest Fix was a small bugfix and this is a complete voice overhaul for her as a unique settler. Please consider using Tina De Luca Voiced as a Settler instead of this mod.

    With that being said...

    DEPENDENCY QUEST FIX UPDATE v2.0
    - Unlocks some hidden game content in Vault 81. (Tina being mad at the Player if you helped Bobby overdose.)
    - Allows you to recruit Tina outside Dependency even after the quest was already finished... or bugged out. If you have never finished the quest, just play the game, and you will find no problems recruiting Tina De Luca regardless of the outcome of the quest. The mod will allow you to retry recruiting her any number of times.
    - If you've already finished the quest, and failed to recruit her, just talk to her again after you've installed the mod.

    BEFORE YOU ASK!

    THIS FIX I MADE STILL WORKS AS A STANDALONE BUT IF YOU'RE USING UFO4P http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4598/? THEN THIS MOD BECOMES UNNECESSARY.

    A) "Tina doesn't speak after I recruited her."
    First of al, use my new mod TINA DE LUCA VOICED AS A SETTLER! It has all the benefits of this mod plus it adds over 50 new dialogue lines to Tina as a settler.
    Second of all, no she does not. And yes it's annoying, but I checked through Fallout4 - Voices.ba2 and unfortunately she doesn't have recorded lines in the game data for being a settler.
    I also checked Cricket's and Rowdy's lines, because they are voiced by Ashly Burch as well, but sadly I didn't find any that works for Tina.

    B) "Tina is not a level 4 merchant."
    No she isn't.

    C) "Can you fix Holt Combes as well?"
    No, because there's nothing to be fixed. There's nothing in the game records that would indicate that he should be recruitable. My guess is that it's rather a misprint in the official Game Guide than an actual bug in the game.

    D) "Is it safe to uninstall the mod after finishing Dependency?"
    Yes, it's absolutely safe.

    E) "Can you fix other unique settlers/vendors?"
    Other unique/named recruitable NPCs usually have three main bugs:
    1) They are not marked as essential, so they simply die on the road to your settlement.
    2) Once they arrive, they can't be assigned, moved, commanded.
    3) They disappear from your settlement.

    Solutions:
    1a) Make them essential by a console command before sending them to your settlement: setessential <base_ID> 1
    You can look up all their base ids on fallout.wikia.com
    1b) Failing that, try these console commands:
    prid <reference_id>
    disable
    enable
    moveto player
    You can look up all their reference ids on fallout.wikia.com

      i installed both unofficial and your mod but she still doesnt appear on my settlement, no dialog either, she still stuck in vault 81

      1) have you installed my mod or UFO4P BEFORE completing the quest?
      2) did you succeed to convince her with a successfull Charisma test at the end of the quest?

      I too convinced her, and I've had the unofficial patch since it came out pretty much (so before the mod), and she just pauses then goes "Yeah, like that'd make any sense." and so I can't send her. Any clue?

      before the mod? or you mean before completing the quest...
      idk honestly, I haven't checked UFO4P, just been told a couple of times that it does the same thing as my mod. if you used UFO4P and the fix didn't work you should ask them what's going on.

      Any tips what to do if Dependency is already completed? She is stuck for me just like it's described above - repeating ''I'm so ready to get to the outside world" etc in Vault 81.

      For me Tina just stands in that corner room in Vault 81 and says how happy she is about Bobby etc, but she doesn't say a word about going outside. I've completed the quest a while ago and thought "maybe I forgot and didn't pass the dialogue?", but no, I always pass them, and after that I heard some vault dwellers talking about Tina LEAVING the vault. Then I test-tried TP-ing her to me with "player.placeatme" on the outside but she just said the same thing and started walking to the Vault 81. I don't use the UFO4P and your mod didn't work either :( But Tina is so f***ing hot I want her in my settlement.

      HOLY SH*T I JUST FIXED IT
      I said I've tried teleporting her to me but it didn't work. Right now I went to Kingsport Lighthouse and teleported her to me again. Then I opened settlement mode and moved her to Kingsport Lighthouse from whatever settlement she was assigned to previously (I didn't notice) and then I could assign her!!! I have no idea if your mod helped this or not, but I am so happy right now and all the posts say it did help people, so you get an endorse anyway!

      well done!
      my patch only works if it was applied before completing the quest. if I'll have the time to get back to this, I will add some more options by scripts so she can be assigned to a settlement properly even after the quest has been bugged out. but glad you could figure it out by console commands.

    I'm using the unofficial patch and it doesn't seem to properly fix this quest.
    I loaded both the patch and ur mod fix in fo4 edit. It only shows 1 conflict, which is the only line that the Unofficial patch edits from the vanilla game. Subtype , from BarterExit to Hello. Everything else is left unchanged.

    Also, I chose this version over your updated one because the voice acting is very off character and breaks immersion. Would've been nice if you simply reused some of tina's vanilla voice lines so that she speaks them when idling (just like the vault tec salesman) just to give her a touch more character without going too in depth into fan made lore territory. 

    With that being said , this simple fix is a blessing

      I can confirm that, even with the latest UF4P version, the quest still is bugged. This mod fixes the problem.

    I can't believe the game dev it self wont fix the bug.

    Tina finally spoke to me one day after I got back from the vault 88, telling me that her bro Bobby has been doing well lately!!! Don't know if it's the mod or some vanilla game glitches. Anyways, thank you for your work! Well done!!!

    Edit - Ah jeez, I wish I could delete my own comment. I understand that the mod is unnecessary if you have UFO4, but I wanted to know if running them both is ok too.

      and why exactly?
      I mean, I don't know about you but my game certainly didn't come with UFO4P pre-installed on it. or your point is that users who don't use UFO4P shouldn't have this fix? :)
      there's a big difference between "mod A is obsolete" and "mod A is obsolete if you're using mod B".
      don't get me wrong, I value the hard work that was put into UFO4P by Arthmoor and his team, but personally I would never use a mod that edits hundreds if not thousands of vanilla forms, not to mention vanilla scripts as well. instead, I like that I can decide in case of each individual vanilla game problem whether I want to fix it in my game with a mod, rather than forcing a huge list of fixes on my game ranging from important to not-at-all necessary from my point of view.
      I think that choice shouldn't be available just for me as a mod maker, but for anyone playing this game.

      as for an update, can you see the sticky post above? does UFO4P add voiced dialogue to Tina as well? :)
      when the Tina De Luca Voiced as a Settler mod was released two years ago, I revisited the fix of the Dependency quest, and updated Dependency Quest Fix as well:

      DEPENDENCY QUEST FIX UPDATE v2.0

      nothing of the above is true when you use UFO4P. UFO4P only fixes the quest BEFORE encountering the actual bug. never retroactively.

      The UFO4P did not fix this issue for me, so I may have to get the voiced mod anyway.

    Not working for me. Tried this and the other newer mod and in both the dependency quest wont finish and she is impossible to send to a settlement. The menu to move her comes up but then when I pick something she says "Yes right like that made any sense" and walks off.

      the original vanilla bug was that the menu didn't show up. so if it shows up for you, then the mod is doing its job. after that if the travel menu didn't work for you it's beyond the scope of this quest fix. this mod never altered anything in the game regarding the travel menu and how it's working.
      can you send other NPCs, like vanilla companions from settlement A to settlement B using the same menu?
      did you try sending Tina to a different settlement? maybe the problem only exists selecting only one of your workshops.

      Moving companions/settlers other than her works fine and I did try sending her to different places

    Just wondering, is this fix still necessary if someone is using Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch? I've heard that they fix this quest in their previous updates.

      I hear that they "absorbed" my mod. never gave me a headsup and never credited me as contributor though, so this mod is still working as a standalone and will be supported until Bethesda fixes the quest officially.

      edit: I've been contacted by a member of the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch Team and cleared the air about this misunderstanding. bottom line is, they did not know about this fix when they compiled the same fix into their mod. this fix I made still works as a standalone but if you're using UFO4P then this mod becomes unnecessary.

      Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch is also a glitchy mess that will crash your game.

      With all due respect, if your having issues with it then let the UFO4P team at the mod page, I have had no issues with any of their UFO Patches, you could have a bad install, or ya need to go through your load order. There are many people that know more than I and been modding for years there have been few reports of problems, and it always turned out to be a mod issue.

      I still download ya mod and a few of them already so when I get my new PC built, I can just slap them fire up the game and enjoy, thank you for making and sharing your mods with us all. Kudos.

    always loved being able to get her. one of my biggest issues is, i dont know if this is a bug you can fix with this mod, or what. but i sware in my st guild it claims i can get that guy that seems to married to the shop owner i should be able to get him to go to my settlement, i dont know if like evrything good in f4 they stripped that out or what (like you being the boss in BOS option at one time.. (for real if i could do this i would try to not take out other fractions.. =(

    (same goes with all the other rare shop keeps i ether never find them or they never show up.. =(

    Could you fix Tina's behaviour as settler? I can accept that she's a mute, but fleeing from every battle is unacceptable.

    Tina will always be stuck saying things like "I can't believe I'm going to see the Commonwealth" and "I am so ready to leave this place behind me" ?? :-/
