      You can do it yourself by using HudMenuSet.exe in Data\Interface

    Great preset, but how can I get the survival mode status Icons to show up on the hud while using this?

      Edit DEF_HUD.xml manually, replace HUDActiveEffectsWidget_mc at the bottom with this one.

      <HUDActiveEffectsWidget_mc>
      <x>-61</x>
      <y>-20.5</y>
      <scaleX>0.6</scaleX>
      <scaleY>0.6</scaleY>
      <flags>255</flags>
      <color>0xFFFFFF</color>
      <color2>0xFFFFFF</color2>
      <rotation>0</rotation>
      <parname>RightMeters_mc</parname>
      <defx>-30</defx>
      <defy>-22</defy>
      </HUDActiveEffectsWidget_mc>

      That should smack it right next to the grenade count in a way that matches the rest of the UI. But if you don't like how I made it, feel free to open the HUDMednuSet.exe and configure it from there.

      Do you know how to change the quick container widget to be the same as the PUI by any chance?

    So far I like the changes this has made, but just one problem, when zooming in the crosshair changes to a bracket icon, tried looking at it in Hudmenusetup.exe but I am not seeing an option to change this. Anyone know how to get it to stay a crosshair, it is really making scoped shots or long range sniping difficult when the crosshair disappears like that.

    Can any body provide better install instructions? Do I NEED Pleasant UI? Or just DEF HUD?

      You just need DEF Hud.
      This simply sets out DEF Hud in a way similar to Pleasant UI.

      If this advice is still necessary, that is.

    I love this simple UI, but I have two things to mention:
    1. Crit bar: as stated by other users it is missing. How do I get it back?
    2. Compass: It hasn't got directions (NESW). Would love to have those back. Any chance?

      If you run HUDMenuSet.exe in the Fallout 4/Data/interface folder you can customize this XML to fix both of these options quite easily. Hover over the object and press the corresponding number to unhide the items hidden. Then press Ctrl-S to save and save over the existing XML in the DEF_CONF folder.

    I don´t have a 1080p monitor, how to I change the preset resolution so the HUD does not display weird?

      M8...reinstall Def_ui as 16.9 resolution....ive got a 16.10 monitor and is works good for me. the text is a little big but that's not a big issue. And you can tweak in using the flashplayer too.

    Looks good, but after installing my HUD is itty bitty. Can't really even see what anything is.

    and what was so wrong with PleasantUI that forced you to make this preset? I'm using PleasantUI and everything is fine.

      My guess is that you can move the items of the hud with DEF_UI.

      And you get the feature that allows you to see scrap components when you hover over junk items.

      Pleasant UI is a fine mod, just several very helpful mods rely on DEF_UI so if you want to the best of both worlds...

      It works, but the icons for being thirsty/hungry/sleepy overlap where the grenade icon pops up when you equip a grenade.
