    i get the worn fallout look and yes its just a game but the glock is a polymer based weapon there isnt much to rust on a glock. great textures though

    i have to ask. is the glock 20 a metal one for the rust? i always thought the slide and grip of a common glock was made of plastic and polymers to make it lightweight

      indeed it's as you say but the plastic can definitely get scuffed up and appear sort of like that. It's probably a bit more intense than what it would look like in reality but it's still a good job I think

      Main idea in that, to create a visual view suited to the conditions of the post-apocalypse (rusty materials, old\worn weapons, dirty look)
      I know that Glock created from high-strength plastic with metal parts. And most likely in the areas of shabby plastic It will not show obvious signs of the inner metal layers.

      I just wanted to create a kind of aged\old weapon + in conditions of post-apocalypse world, It would be difficult to produce the polymer for the replacement and repair of this weapon. According to this most likely these parts had to be replaced by metal details.

      This is just my vision of post-apocaliptic weapons...just concept idea.

    It's nice indeed, but I have to point out that only internal parts of the glock are metallic, the body/grip etc is made of polymers, so it would be more realistic to add dirt and scratches instead of rust!

    Anyway good texture!

    I really like worn textures for this sort of environment, but the thought of someone letting their frame actually RUST just makes my skin crawl.
