It would be really nice, if you could upload some screenshots using the flags I uploaded
If you have any suggestions for improvements I could work on, please write a PM or comment here.
I uploaded some different flags now and I think they are "Alpha" versions, because I am not 100% satisfied with colouring etc.
The best way to install these flags would be a FOMOD installer for NMM, but I don't have a clue, how to pack the flags into a folder structure and how to write the lines for a FOMOD installer. Maybe someone could help me with it
Would be lovely if the Institute flag was just a retexture of the vanilla one. I love the design of the vanilla Institute flag and the one you provide just seems out of place :/
The best option would be to keep the old-timey Institute flag for the "Commonwealth Institute of Technology", but then have a high-res recreation of the "Institute" flag - the white one with the red Vitruvian Man logo. After all, they're really quite different organizations by 2287.
For anyone downloading these in 2022 and beyond: These are lovely textures and I recommend using them IF you don't mind a bit of work. The formatting is all over the place. Several diffuse textures were saved in the wrong format (BC5 instead of DTX1/5 or BC7), so they have no blue channel and appear green. Some aren't compressed at all and need to be resaved to save VRAM. Some normals/specs aren't using BC5 formatting (not really detrimental). It's a bit of a crapshoot and you may need to mix and match from various packs to get what you want.
Not sure when this mod was last checked on by the mod maker but I too would like to see this, 4k is nice but it causes lag and its a very large file, so a lower quality such as 2k and 1k would be helpful.
Seconded. Plus, the 1k Institute flag incorrectly comes with a normal map for the Railroad flag, and I think the 1k flags with the new normals look fantastic while keeping my game running well.
For those looking for aio replacer you can create a file for yourselves if the ma won't. Youtube creation kit and repacking for fo4. Many youtubers will have a great tutorial. RedRocketTV is one prime example of how to go about this.
An all-in-one would be great. Downloading despite this because the vanilla flags... ugh. Looks like whoever was tasked with designing the flags at Bethesda was given the job and then given a 15 minute deadline to do it.
Just dropping this note here in case it hasn't been mentioned before:
For any version of the US flag, you can have the dirty and the clean ones from this mod in your game at the same time. The mod names both of them the same, but in the original game files, the clean version is named PrewarFlag01. Just rename the clean version from this mod as such and you'll have both.
Dirty US Flag Flag01_d.dds & Flag01_n.dds
Clean US Flag PrewarFlag01_d.dds & PrewarFlag01_n.dds
