Does it work with functional displays?

Thanks for this! Now I don't have to worry about it getting sent to the workbench or used as scrap when I'm building stuff.

Awesome, thank you for this. I either used to give it back to him when I was dumping junk off, or placed it in the world. Don't gotta worry about that now, many thanks!

How sad for the little soldier that no one even cared enough for him. Not even the land for misfit toys wanted the poor little guy
Now, he is saved from being turned into some random items component. You have saved our little unloved warrior, and rightly so. We need a special place to display him. A place solely for him. A place of honor and dignity.

Perhaps when the geck arrives, you could make more - sort of like the miniature army akin to the bobbleheads. Bring home our soldiers. Let them finally be at peace.

Edit : I added an Image to show where he's located in my wasteland world.

A few ways to do it. Mods like Place Everywhere allow LOTS of wonderful moves, edits and precise placement of objects. Another method, go into console, click the object so you get the formID # in the middle of your screen.
      Then type:setscale ###

the ### is the size. Everything is standard size of 1.
If you make a mistake and make it so small you can't see it or so large you can see it from fallout 3,
then type setscale 1to bring it back to normal size.

So, "setscale 7.5" would be at 750% (no parens)

      How poetic, Brandy_123!
The place of rest you are talking about, well, I believe you found it. It was a fine idea to transform the figurine into a statue. Thanks for the original screenshot.
If I didn't think the audience for that Statue/Toy would be so limited (because there are few poets out there) I would make a special install for it.
But with the incommensurable number of mods being published, the attention of gamers is already too much solicited (talking out of my own experience).

But you are free to use the .esp or its assets to make that 'présentoir'. I have seen a mod which remakes the Bobbleheads's or is it for displaying the models (like Mr. Gusty...)? The figurine could well be placed there if there is an extra slot. If not, it gets complicated with mesh modification....
But frankly, the statue is better.

I'm just a dreamer and a romantic. I can't help it. I'm just a sucker for the underdog and the down trodden. When the little people win, its a great joy in my heart. hehehe

Do I need to have one of the sorting mods to use this mod?

Yes. Although if not, you would have that item named (Unique) Wooden... while the other items are not sorted. Not dramatic but why not use a sorting mod? It is indispensable to me...

EDIT: There is now a version for the Vanilla display (No Sorting Mod)

That's so much for making a sorting mod free version. I was horrified when I discovered the toy soldier was scrapable and threw it in a dresser for safe keeping until now.

I've used sorting mods with one or two other games, but never really felt an urgent need for one, and all the ones I've looked at for fallout 4 would require patches for a lot of the mods I use and I'm too lazy to deal with all that. =P

Might actually try one now. DEF_UI looks really good.

OK martinascorned. It is coming BUT would you explain to me why on earth you don't want to use a sorting mod? I am just curious (I know we all react differently and all choices are respectable (when it comes to that kind of things).
But I can't see a reason why anyone would not like to have the items sorted by type... Vanilla is incredibly impracticle.

well it may sound odd to someone, but I personally never liked any sorting mods. neither in fallout 4, nor in New Vegas or Fo3. since the game release I've got used to vanilla interface, so there are no problems for me to find any item I need in my inventory. plus there are a lot of items in Fo4 from previous games. also my game is not english, so all of those sorting mods and their patches need up-to-date translation, and I've not found any.... and sadly I don't have enough free time to do it on my own so thats it. sorry for mistakes

Got it. It is true we spend too much time with mod searching, reading, installing and fixing...
      Thx for the answer.

Considering that it belonged to MacCready, I just dropped it in the middle of The Glowing Sea.

Also, just as food for thought, it might be a ceramic toy to imitate a wooden one.

I can honestly say, I would drop MacCready's SOLIDER somewhere in the Glowing sea too. I can also see the Solider being made from ceramic and usable as junk.

The SOLDIER on the other hand, a cherished wooden relic from an age passed. A unique, one of a kind bauble to keep and display in a location of honor and dignity.

Well, the funny thing with McCready is that he is a tough/soft guy, played by the post-war realities. But anyway, as Brandy_123 says, it is more about the object itself. I like its naive look.
As for ceramic or wood, the figurine was made by MacCready's wife (I think (or given)) that is why I believe it is most likely made of wood...
And anyway it is called Wooden so why believe it is not the case? Considering the other errors (misspelling), I don't trust the ceramic cabal and I decree it is a certified woody relic. Pam!

So, your PipBoy screen, how did you get those perdy & smexy mix of colors?
    :-P

Ha, good question! It is a custom thing I made to reduce the contrast of the Pipboy screen when you remove the monochrome display (bPipboyDisableFX=1) in order to use a Color Map.
I am working on that and still need some time (there is a lot of animation frames and icons to process) but I intend to publish it on Nexus this month I guess. Everything will be colored except the text of the lists (and the background) as shown on the screenshot.
I noted this title but it will probably change a bit 'Gold Pipboy Kit for Color World Map (anti-Black&White screen)'.

...I can only deviner what perdy & smexy veut dire...
