Someone now the solution to problem with 5s timeout? After Far-Harbor any created by this workbench in commonwealth throw me out from work space. TGM is on, also tried with settlementcleared 1
I have been trying this on the Rooftop Garden and nothing. Workshop appears but, TGM on or off, I still get the clear enemies message. I have another command that increases the settlement budget that types as "bat settlement". Is it possible this could interfere with the "bat settle" for this command?
Edit: the workshop gives me the "enemies..." message if I try to interact directly with the workshop bench but holding "V" opens workshop as per usual and I can build. Having trouble scrapping.
Will not work even in God Mode. Not sure what to do. Yes I AM in God Mode (TGM) on PC, trying to use it for Goodneighbor. No enemies around, highest affinity with Hancock. Keeps saying "You need to clear enemies from the location" EVEN WITH GOD MODE ON. I repeat, God Mode is ON.
Would using the console like this to spawn a workshop, and then manipulating objects, break the precombines? Why is there no mention of bUseCombinemeshes command?
It will not break precombines. If you can scrap everything in cell it meens they were already broken. You should be careful with linked objects (like in CIT or airport) and if you scrap something in cell with respawn this object can respawn aswell.
OK, so a lot of people here don't seem to understand the problem with a map marker, getting settlers, why this just generally doesn't work. Short answer: It's just the game. Long answer: Actual settlements in the game have more than just a workbench, they also have storage, a node (which basically does really advanced things I don't understand) and are linked to the WorkshopParent quest and just have more integration in general. To accomplish all of that there is no one size fits all approach to make a settlement. My suggestion: watch two videos on youtube and make a settlement yourself with the Creation Kit, it's free, it's easy, so you have no excuse to gripe to the mod author if you can't be bothered to spend one hour of your life and do something yourself. Heck even upload it to the nexus so other people like you can complain about every feature of your mod.
P.S. Really didn't mean to b so rude, but it bugs me how unappreciated mod authors are sometimes.
EDIT: OK, looks like there aren't actually that many comments here so never mind. Even so, yeah it's not a lot of work to make a console command; but making a mod page, describing how to use it, and responding to comments takes work. I personally appreciate it when anyone puts in some effort to try and help out others, and don't appreciate it quite so much when people take that for granted. On the other hand I wrote that over seven years ago so I really don't know what I was referring to.'
EDIT 2: Pretty sure this also predates the creation kit
I've been using this command for years. My question is what c command to use to get settlers. You can't use the cheat terminal because you won't be able to assign them to anything and the radar settlement beacon, nobody shows up.
I know there is a command out there but can't remember the command. Any help?
oxhorn mentioned this in his video about tier 4 merchants, to enable commanding type "SETPV BCOMMANDABLE 1" (not in caps), and to be able to move them, type "SETPV BALLOWMOVE1" and if that doesn't work, try "ADDKEYWORD WORKSHOPALLOWCOMMAND"
Hey mate, gave this try but the issue is the settlers cant be registered to location. I have a feeling it is because its a random location, not a registered settlement with the game, so the option to move them wont work. I dunno if there is a way to register a settlement. I think this script simply allows you to build anywhere, not so much create settlements. Thats still awesome and will certainly find a use for it, but for creating settlements anywhere, i think its outside its capabilities.
Well this is akward... mine says "You need to clear enemies from this location." Only enemy i can maybe logicly think off is Porter Gage (he's following me atm) and if it's so then, do i have to remove him from my companion and take someone else?
Would you mind explaining the process of "fixing" this issue?
Edit:
1. Spawn workbench by typing player.placeatme c1aeb 2. Click on spawned workbench and type SV, confirming this with an enter 3. Use PgUp and PgDwn to navigate through the text which has just appeared until you find the entry "myLocation = ( #### )" This is the number of the location in which the workbench you've just spawned is tied to. 4. Type: SetLocationCleared #### 1 (where the number "1" at the end executes the clearance directive).
After this, you will be able to use spawned workshop.
Dude, when you type player.placeatme c1aeb and the workbench appears, go in to god mode by typing tgm the hold down the workshop key and it will open the workshop. I've been using this for years. ;)
really thx a lot . what you said all works. but still need a location for the people to stay with it you know. or the supply line would be a one-way trip and doesnt work. may i get some further help?
if u have a cheat terminal mod don't use the god mode form that mod . turn it off and use the game version . i tired to use the bench with god mode from the cheat terminal and it open but it could not use the stuff i have in my inventory . also this thing does not store stuff . i tried to access its inv but i could not . if there is a way to do it let me know .

This is how it actually works. ( even if your message is 2022 dated x)
What to do? Any fixes?
player.placeatme c1aeb 1
setangle x 0
show vars
setpv ownedby player true
setpv visitedbyplayer true
Fast travel away & then return. So far this has been reliable in delivering a functional workshop.
I was not in god mode when I typed this sequence.

Would this mod work on Vault 114?

myLocation = None
?
It wasn't a ''bat'' file and the command ''bat settle'' won't work because it can't be found
