    Sticky
New automatron patch! I know this might be a little late for the hype, but I wanted to play through and test as much as I could. I took what I learned and fixed the last remaining hold outs of the robot weapons (I think). Here's the full list so you know how to kit out your robots:

Shoulder Mounted Anything: Uses Missiles (Except the Fatman, it uses Mininukes, duh)
    Robobrain Mesmetron: Uses Plasma Cartridges
    Robobrain Gas Grenades: Use Flares
Assaultron Head Laser: Uses Fusion Cells
    Lightning Guns: Use Fusion Cells
Sentry Miniguns: Use 5mm (not 5.56. 5mm is just more feasible for you to equip your robots with.)

Everything else uses the handheld weapon's ammo type. Fusion Cores for Gatling Lasers, Cryo cells for cryo guns, etc.

Everyone just starts fist fighting each other. Perhaps its because I did not get some kind of a mod that increases the amount of ammunition they receive.

This seems to be causing melee weapons to appear in containers now too along with the guns. Is there any way around this? I'm using looted world to reduce stuff in the game in many places, though I'm still getting a lot more melee weapons now from using this. It would be even worse I'm sure if I wasn't using looted world along with it.

Tried this. Both options in files generate too much ammo, I found myself with almost 900 .38 rounds very early on, especially with Endless Warfare - Increased Vanilla Spawns on. I've opted to keep the .ini tweak on, but turn this off. I've looked into other mods that are a standalone, but with all the guns I use that's not really an option.

This is a great mod. So from what i can gather is that you went ahead and created duplicates of many ammo types as leveled items (so their count can scale with level and added a large amount of them shells) and you linked each to the corresponding weapon.. Hmm i thought you were gonna do something like adding more ammo to the inventories of all NPCs instead.

    EDIT:
Just saw your post in the main page.

I am interested in taking over development if you are not. Could you share a couple of techniques you used, especially regarding my prior questions? Thanks.

Oh man, just when you were getting to the good part of adding melee weapons to enemies so they have something to fight with when they run out of ammo... I hope you change your mind and continue this mod!

I agree with this! Currently searching for a mod to add melee weapons to all enemies like this so when they run out of ammo they charge me.

There are now major overhauls which accomplish the same goal. I knwo Frost does this, and did it all better and in one complete package. I would just make things have compatibility issues continuing to mess with this. Honestly, just get one of these overhauls. I am really enjoying playing in Frost, and NPC's use up ammo there, without needing an overhaul like mine, and they all have melee weapons too.

any way that with the used ammo from npcs such as bandits and such you could increase their ammo? this mod is rendered unusable to me because ive had bandits shoot 5 bullets at me before rushing with fists.. at which point I gun them down.... (they have lived in this environment their entire lives, ive lived here for mere weeks-months yet I carry enough ammo to kill 20 of them easy and keep going whereas they carry barely enough ammo to scare me away) other than that the mod has a great idea ^_^ I wish you the best of luck with making the most immersive experience bringing mod

You should not have touched creature weapons and turrets... All you needed to change was human NPCs (& companions possiby) that shoot and throw 'nades at you. Then again if this isn't possible, my bad.

It really wasn't. Once you set the .ini option, it effects EVERYTHING. The .esp was built to try and undo the considerable damage the .ini option does.
