This mod simply does not work anymore. Over the past few years it's been getting more and more finicky, and at this point just does absolutely nothing. RIP to one of the best immersion mods on the nexus. Here's hoping for an update.
so what happens in this mod is it empties all the combat track lists (or replaces them with ambient tracks), but since the game still registers enemy detection as a 'threat' it will still stop the currently playing track before attempting to select from a possibly empty list.
I can confirm that the No Combat Music, with ambient music, has a bug in it that has it not play music at all in certain locations, like a dungeon for example, very often i notice there just not being any music at all when there should be exploration music playing.
Same here, I tried using the option that plays combat music for epic fights only while keeping ambient tracks, unfortunately ambient tracks stop playing when you enter a new cell. You have to toggle the radio on and off for the music to play again which is a bit annoying :(
Same here. I looked into the mod using FO4Edit and the edits it makes are pretty basic - they shouldn't break the ambient music. But after combat, the music never returns until reloading a save. I suspect the game isn't advancing the tracks because it's stuck trying to play the next cue for the battle track (which the mod removes).
A lot of enemies (probably only in quest locations) will trigger this quick "violin" sound, which sounds really weird on its own like the music is supposed to start after that 'scary violin' but with this mod, it won't trigger.
I recommend editing it in fo4 edit to enable "high-level threat" sounds, I just keep the low ones disabled, cuz I don't like being notified about cockroaches nearby, especially before I see 'em.
The ideal version of this mod would include a delay before combat music starts to eliminate this problem, but idk if it's possible
Has anyone figured a way to re enable combat music after installing/uninstalling? I have tried plenty of fixes. Combat only stops ambient music, no matter how legendary mob im fighting.
If play with stalker music mod this mod messes it up hardly hear it unless you keep loading but only last for awhile then back to slience.Sorry bruh had to unistall stalker best music mod
does anyone know if I can use "silence" mode in this mod to remove the vanilla soundtrack, then install Wolf's Music Mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16635 ) to replace it with tracks of my choice? I'm trying to replace the game's soundtrack with halo music because of all the halo themed mods coming out recently, but WMM doesn't remove the vanilla songs. It only adds your tracks in addition to them.

If you want no combat music at all there's a better option here https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42141
