Shotguns and rifles sound pretty much the same in real life. In fact pretty much all guns sound the same in real life besides the amplitude. The gunshot is way too loud to be able to hear any mechanical movements on a gun. Even with a suppressor the crack of the bullet breaking the sound barrier is way louder than any noise made by the bolt.
@rubiconn Damn. You ain't have to do my man like that. :D. Welp, he learned today!
Anyway, @Locusthorde300, you really made the best, most satisfying sound overhauls for Fallout 4, even this many years later, it really holds up! I love that the sounds have the perfect mix of bass without being too BASSY, or too loud. Perfect decibel level for enjoyability in game. Thank you so much!!!
Gonna get this because some mod (I think it's Whispering Hills) replaced my 10mm sound for no reason and the N99 10mm Handgun mod uses the same sound. Edit: It was another audio replacer mod that had the sounds from 1995
Love how you took audio files from other games that are not realistic for a realistic mod lol (a good example is that pipe pistol sound, it's just a sound from COD)
Is there a way to increase the volume of these sounds? I like the sounds but they seem much to quite in game. My sfx slider is maxed but the gunshots in this game aren't loud enough to make it feel truly immersive. Even with my speakers turned up everything goes up with it so the sound is easily drowned out by the ambience. Gunshots are loud asf in real life and I kinda wanna feel that in this game. Perhaps someone has some insight into this?

Also, nothing weird, hard drives do quit working occasionally. Not really an issue that makes you go "hmmmm".
Or some guys are modding games while living out of the backs of vans and occasionally they may lose a thing or two - I wouldn't overthink it too much.
