This sounds really cool...I love the concept and want to try it out. I've already got Concealed Armors by Nisas which allows your settlers to wander around looking naked although wearing invisible armor, but yours kinda legitimizes the whole armor nudity approach in a potentially sexy way. Good job...I'm looking forward to a later endorsement for your creative work Guidion, thank you.

EDIT: Oh, I was hoping that if was invisible with the armour attributes still intact. Silly me.

You're combining with Custom Combat Armor? Hmm.
I wonder with just decals only added..
  4. While i don't entirely agree with the specific stats and material requirments in this particular version you have here you have indeed given me a great idea! Aluminum Oxide armor plates! Which would basicaly be completely transparent glass, but stronger than carbon steel of the same weight and gaige! as far as crafting, well.. it's normaly very expensive to craft IRL.. being besicaly a ceramic glass made from superheated alumin carbide.. perhaps aluminum and ceramic combined with some sort of oxidizing agent? hmm.. will think on it.. it's basicaly glass that is as strong as Corundum (Sapphires!) just a quarter inch will stop up to a .50 BMG non AP bullet, albiet at the cost of fragmentation, infact it should stop at least 1 lower cal AP or non AP high cal bullet completely, but IRL ceramic armor fragments when shot, compromising that exact spot but not the rest of the surface.. no way to impliment this in FO4 except if there was a durability system requiring maintanance to keep it from breaking alltogether. again just my thoughts.. so game wise it would be stronger than steel and be able to stop everything but AP rounds at least at first.. but it would be very heavy. anyway cool idea.

I've been using this combat armour on my player character ever since you posted it, Guidion, shame it didn't get more attention.

i have said it before and i will say it again, wearing this over the Chrome body suits is one of the most cool outfits i have seen in a video game...

Idk if I would call that glass, more like transparent plastic. :p Could look cool with other outfit sets though.

I was thinking of calling it Transparent Aluminum as an omage to Star Trek IV, but decided glass is better. I wanted to increase the transparency, but this armor goes invisible in certain lights (look at the night sky with some of it between you and the sky) as it is, so did not want to make it completely invisible.

Also there are levels of transparency to real life glass, some is completely clear, while other bits of glass are nearly opaque, so I am not fully seeing your argument.

I also see you have not downloaded this mod so you are basing your argument off of my screen shots, which do not fully do this mod justice.

Not just an omage to Star Trek any more... pretty sure they really did come from the future

Personally I would have prefered Transparent Aluminum as it at least makes the "Fantasy" Armor have a Sci-Fi vibe to it.

I agree, I think it would be the better name, especially since its a real world material anyway.

      Now it looks like glass...

I originally intended the Pallet file I just uploaded to come with this version, but thought it would be nice to start with the default colors. There is now an optional file that will make this armor look more like glass. If you install both versions and the optional file, you will have 2 unique sets of Combat Armor to go with the one in the vanilla version of the game, all distinguishable from one another.

This looks 100% glass on my machine... I do like my ENB settings bright though, so maybe that is why. I have also been experimenting with colour palette, and some colours, like pink or light blue show off the transparency and light reflection better... its crystal clear to be honest, just like modern day glass is... Endorsed.

No. Two did mysteriously dis-appear from the Pacific Ocean Whale Tracking Database though. Not sure if it is related.

I decided to let the user choose which to go with, the only difference between the two versions is the name of the download and the name in game.

    Promising early days.

    Two questions.

    1. Is it possible to create a version where colours can be changed? This would be a good mod to go with Kerrigans suit for example.

    2. Why does the left leg armour look heavy when it's light?

I am not sure what you mean...

      1. It is already colorable, if you put different mods on the armor, it changes color just like the standard Combat Armor in the Base Game, so not sure what you mean here.

2: What do you mean? Are you referring to the Ground Object files, or the worn armor? The Ground Object files are a little weird, but they work for showing that there is an armor there, if you are not referring to the Ground Object, I.E. the way it looks when worn, I do not have that issue as you can tell from the first screenshot that shows the armor on both males and females, front and back.
