Good idea, I was trying to think of something to put the C bonus on but it didn't seem appropriate for these three schemes. I was considering doing a Boston Police car paint for the t45 and t51 urban. Every police dept in the US now has armored humvees and MRAP's so I figure cops would get the older power armor suits in FO world. It might take me a minute though, I'm figuring this out as I go.
Boston SWAT uses the Lenco BearCat (Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Truck). Lenco is based in Massachusetts, and a lot of SWAT teams in New England use the Bearcat. Boston PD actually does not participate in the Pentagon’s 1033 program, being the first police department in the country, they've always kind of done things their own way.
Although most of them just ride around in blacked out Ford Expeditions.
I worked in EMS in Massachusetts for19 years, including training as a tactical medic to deploy with police SWAT teams.
It would be logical that police SWAT teams would use surplus models of power armor, but Boston PD's reputation for doing things their way would likely mean that they'd privately purchase competing models made by private companies as opposed to models made by government defense contractors. For this reason I'd suggest using Tumbajamba's Combat Power Armor or Spartan Battle Suit for a Boston PD power armor.
Haha, I don't know how well and RPG7 will do against power armor but they don't work too well on M1 tanks, only with a rare lucky shot to the rear in just the right spot. Disabling a tank is one thing, destroying it is another. That's if the tank crew doesn't spot you first with their thermal optics and blow you into little pieces with a .50 MG
You'd be surprised Mike. Some rounds for the RPG-7 will go right through the armour on the sides of an M1 series tank, assuming they didn't fit things like the cage armour, ERA etc. The main problem with hitting the very thin side armour is that the tracks etc are in the way and will likely set off a round before it can deal damage to the sides. Other places to hit the Abrams with a better chance of effectiveness, besides the sides or the rear, are the even thinner roof and the (slightly thicker, but still not that thick) lower glacis plate (also known as the toe plate). Close range, at just the right angle, they're just about thin enough that some RPG rounds can penetrate.
That said, however, military forces tend to avoid putting tanks in such positions where anti-tank teams etc can roam freely enough to have a chance of attacking a tank effectively.
Instead of having kill marks for everything you kill, what about kill marks for power armour users you take out? Just a thought I had, though I'm sure you already had it! That said, I don't even know if that will be possible in the short term, as you point out in your description.
Cool paint. Love it, use it, live by it. One little thing that would be nice though would be an option to have the US Army star instead of the Minutemen General symbol on the armor. It IS a US Army paintjob after all.
The US Army only uses stars in Fallout and bad B movies. If they did use a star, it would be black. I'm pretty sure Army paint never comes off, but that might be classified so don't tell anyone. In my game, I found the armor still painted like that and added the MM emblem and killtags in white. Actually, I have my own custom emblem painted over the flag since the US no longer exists in Fallout world. That said, I may add a star emblem just for you when I get to doing the rest of the emblems.
True enough. Looking forward to options for things like the Brotherhood symbol, or the star if you do decide on doing it. Still in love with this mod, I don't think I've used anything else on my X-01 since I got it.
Any chance of doing the same for the rest of the Power Armors love the woodland and the decal adds TY! LOL nvm mind just finished reading the description seems your working on them I got all excited :-P

Another idea for a different skin (if you are taking ideas) is maybe a Full Dress version with a bonus to charisma?
