I have officially moved on from Nexus modding. All of my mods are free to use, modify, patch, compile, etc. however you see fit, just credit me. I will not be responding to messages - do whatever the hell you want, just don't ask me!
Meanwhile in 2023 - who still have this mod in modlist get it out. Not working anymore as should. Several issues, biggest one is that it totaly mute sounds coming from behind. So many nasty surprises because I did not hear someone/something approaching. If you using Heather Casdin as companion, you will also loose all her funny comments during your common travels. I thought first that there is something wrong with my new PC sound settings. Took me a couple of hours to try all possible sound setting until I decided to disable this mod which I always used in past and this was the proper solution. Unendorsing and removing from my mod compilation.
Used it for several playthroughs back then and many problems including muted as well as over amplified audio are all over the place. It's a good concept but sadly defunct
Maybe is just me cause I have a music studio soundcard and beyerdynamic headphones but there is too much echo and so the sound is like I was locked in a bathroom the whole game.
I like what this mod does for combat sounds, but it makes other noises unbearably loud to the point of not being able to hear dialogue in certain areas. Fiddled with the settings to see if I could find a happy medium and could not. Had to uninstall.
So I had the slider reset issue on restart as well, I looked into it and found that Bethesda did it yet again with a slider limit so if you have more sound mods that add sliders to the settings, it'll cause them to fight each other causing a reset. Bethesda only has 8 or so slots for slider, base game takes up 6, so True Storms and RAO are enough to cause this in my case.
I found a mod for this exact issue which adds all the base audio sliders to an MCM menu leaving the settings sliders open for mods:

In case anyone is having issues with really echo-y reverb, try turning down both the RAO Ambience and Reverb sliders, the master slider doesn't affect them very much and I need to turn reverb to about a quarter and ambiance to half so that it isn't like hearing a gunshot in a tunnel.
Bro!!!! Thank you so much I was losing it whit the eco s#*!!!!!... Now I just need to find the perfect balance to set the perfect game audio!!!.... Thanks again.
the indoor audio crackling bug seems to be even louder with this mod enabled (for me i replicated it very easily in cambridge polymer labs, the wooden offices section). i love how this mod makes most areas sound but I hope someone can find a fix for the crackling bug, I still haven't found one yet
Yea the crackling is really bad. I use headphones and get it all the time indoors when i pass specific corridors and it is not random at all it will always happen. The worst place is at far Harbor at synth base. It even crackles when turning around in 3rd person. It makes me really want to uninstall but if i do the gun sounds become super lame which goes to show how important this mod is.

Can you add a bunch of extra stuff that will make this mod buggy, script-heavy, and messy?
No.
Can you make this unrelated mod I thought of?
No.
Can you make a patch for X mod?
If I use it, maybe. If not, no.
Will you bring this mod to consoles?
If possible, yes. If not, no.
This mod is pointless, and I'm going to explain why at length.
Don't bother. Also, this is not a question.
This mod is not lore-friendly, and I'm going to explain why at length.
See above.
