March 27, 2024 EDIT : Looks like the mod author has no plans for this any time soon. ⭐ So for those wondering, you can use the warehouse / barn horizontal half walls, and use console command "modangle x 90" to use it as a vertical half wall, and achieve the same height as the warehouse / barn walls. (May have to use "modangle y 90" depending on your relative position to the wall itself) - Then use your number pad to fine tune its placement, because if its picked up and moved in "Build mode" its relative position is static to its original position.
Hope that helps in the meantime until someone makes a warehouse / barn set of vertical half walls.
Thanks, but isn't navmeshing on floors, not on doorways? Are you saying the half floors weren't properly navmeshed? Also note folks only need a new game for an esl-flagged esp if already using the regular esp. New users of the mod won't need to start a new game.
Ah, thanks for the quick clarifications! But oddly in my game testing an NPC had used the doorway just fine - several times in fact. Maybe how I put steps in front (iirc, not snapped but using modpos), it was enough to force a link thru the door to the floor inside(?).
Hmm... odd. NPCs never walked through the doors for me. That's why I added the navmesh. Maybe the steps you used worked? However, now you won't need them with my fix.
OMG! THANK YOU! Those vanilla wooden waist-high walls aren't that nice when you're wanting to have a wall that would realistic stop a bullet, loving the metal waist-high walls, much the better, many the thanks! :)
Also, can confirm this is working just fine as of today, I just loaded it up in Vortex and it's fine.
Mod shows up just fine, I have this installed (alongside expanded settlement buildings v1, buildable small cabins, street vendors - new trader stalls, jangles shack replacer, campfires & fireplaces (and some craftable tree thing I've forgotten the name of) etc, etc, etc. They all work! The only minor issue I have is a known common wherein not all of them have working mini-preview pics in the workshop selection menu - however as you pass through the selections they will still appear before you in green on the main screen for placement preview, so you can still see what they would be.
Your issue is either as weldabar says, or you have some major overhaul mod like homemaker or settlement menu manager, or some individual craftable items mod which tries to be too clever by creating categories or dicking around with existing ones.
I just wanted this mod for the half-width solid walls and small floor & roof pieces. Note you don't actually need this mod for making outhouses as there's a vanilla section of them in a subcategory ferreted away at the end of the buildable barn section.
UPDATE - I checked the claim that the half-width doorway doesn't work (i.e. settlers can't use/pathfind it) but that claim is false. At least with regard to recruitable NPC, Anne Hargreaves, who used the doorway. Perhaps my adding footsteps there helped, but she even used that doorway despite another standard doorway in the very next wall section. It might be a bit janky - she walked in fine but sort-of teleported out - however that sort of thing can happen with settlers in & around placed items/constructions...
UPDATE 2 - still fine. Doorways work ok. One unexpected boon is the half-walls are relatively easy to place in interiors, making for some compartmentalisation. For example, I sectioned off one of those awkward little corners in Warick to make a bathroom.
I had wait couple of years for such mod. Why Bethesda only gives us 1/4 floor panel without wall/roof of similar size. Thanks for your work and it's must having mod for anyone want to create settlements.
BTW, just find a bug after try. Looks like the half width wall couldn't properly snap to the 1/4 roof panel when they build on upper floor. Keep good work, and pls take my best regard!
It's not a bug. Roof parts usually don't have snap points on the upper side, so, you cannot attach anything to the top of a roof tile and so it's not this mod's "fault".
