This moon is gourgess.. Why ppl complain about reality in a game from Bugthesda and in the universe of Fallout that literaly nothing its realistic.. Funny humans :P
Did anyone ever figure out how to fix the black band around the moon? I really love this mod, it's so beautiful, but the stars disappearing before they pass behind the moon itself kind of kills the magic. I tried comparing the sizes of the moon phases to the shadow in GIMP and some are smaller. I don't know if that makes a difference. (I'll be the first to admit I have no idea how to do any of this) Thank you for your time!
This mod makes the Moon pretty. More Moon-like, even.
It might not seem like a big deal, but once you've looked up at the night's sky and seen it, you just can't go back to whatever bizarre Moon-approximation Bethesda was using. It's among my core mods now.
My first thought was that you were somehow still seeing the vanilla moon, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I really have no idea. Do all moon phases have this issue? If so you might try reinstalling, because something is definitely wrong. If it's just this phase then it's possible I messed up one of the textures and nobody ever noticed until now.
I have the same issue. But it's only visible, when the moon crosses the milkyway, as in the screenshot. I guess epiqu1n is using "Visible Galaxy" as I do. It's not happening with "HD Moon with phases" Sad...I like your moon more...
Just a question, I haven't installed it, I just looked at the pictures and I wondered; Why people make so many moon mods with big unrealistic moons, and no one actually does a small realistic moon for us to download...? Best of luck anyway.
A realistically sized moon would be so small that there would really be no point in retexturing it. It would look like a little white circle either way. I made this over sized so you can actually appreciate the details. If you actually sit and compare the scale to the real moon, sure it's huge, but I don't think it comes across as grossly oversized when it's just a background item in your game. But that's just my opinion. I'll make a more realistically sized version if you promise you'll download it and endorse
It's worth noting that some of the pictures were taken using a narrow FOV, making the moon appear much bigger than it is.
But alright, it's been mentioned more than enough times for me to make a smaller version. I pinky promise that I will.
I'm deep into a Skyrim playthrough at the moment and I don't check my FO4 notifications as often as I should. If I don't upload a new version in the next few days it means I forgot and someone should send me a PM to remind me, if it's not too much trouble :)
Just installed! Using it in combo with Darker Nights (Darkest) and Smaller moon @ 25% I will let you know how it works!
Also, if there was some way to edit how much moonlight was cast that'd be great. Pitch black nights when the moon is fully out doesn't make too much sense.
This is nothing but a texture replacer. I know there's a Skyrim mod that changes the night brightness based on the moon phases, so I'm sure it's possible in FO4 as well. Though I'm not so sure it would be compatible with Darker Nights. Let me know if you find something that works and I'll link to it in the description :)

Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks for the comment.
