INTRO
Hi, everyone :)
WHAT DOES THE MOD CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS?
2 BIG changes
1- The workshops
In previous versions I opted to use the DLC workshop (DLC04WorkshopWorkbench, same as in Nuka World Red Rocket) but now I've used the regular one (WorkshopWorkbench, like the ones used in the main game).
The reason is the DLC04workshop was causing confussion to many players and they didn't know how to take the workshops or why it should be that way. I stepped back and used the REGULAR ones so things can be more easy to understand.
2- The Pre-Combined
From the first version I disabled the pre-combined data so the chances for scrapping could be better and more. This version 2.0 DOES NOT disable the pre-combined data.
The reason is to improve performance. This is a trade, more scrapping = less performance. Adding an extra add-on that disables the pre-combined gives the players the possibility to choose what they want.
I want my game to be on 60FPS average..... don't use the add-on. I want to scrap everything and build like crazy in my game...... you better use the add-on.
Now... it's the player choice... instead of being something imposed by the mod (creator).
Another important change is the removal of the Initialize quest for settlements. This is an improvement that allowed me to finally release a PS4 version.
Since those quest are no longer needed, there are no scripts (external assets) attached to the mod and that makes it possible the PS4 version.
Of course, more things have changed,...but that's just the usual improvements and bugfixing.
Like in previous versions now you can really repopulate the area and make it more ALIVE so all your work getting the park is worth it.
Specially if you choose the Hero Path. Also gives you a reason to come back to Nuka World and take care of all those settlements.
The BIG advantage in this version is that now you CAN actually play the entire raider main quest line without leaving Nuka World(*).
You can get up to 8 settlements (or more if you decide to) and get the chest (that would be the last achievement) and from there forward you choose if you want to continue your raider campaign in the commonwealth or not.
If you play Raider..... More settlements to raid.
If you play Minutemen.... More settlements to help (just defend, these settlements have the minutemen radiant quest blocked)
Thank you very much for reading this article :)
Enjoy the mod ;)
(*) Not entirely true. The "Home Sweet Home" quest acts as a tutorial to learn how the settlements raids work and has to be completed in 1 of the 4 locations established by the quest.
This means that AT LEAST ONE settlement in the Commonwealth has to be raided.
