UltimateZero (from BUSTY thread):
!!!!! WARNING !!!!!
The Fallout 4 v1.2 patch that was released today, December 7th 2015, force disables all mods! There are TWO workarounds for this!
The First:
QUOTE
1) Open Nexus Mod Manager (you will need this!
2) launch your game, wait in the launcher before starting the game.
3) Renable the mods using Nexus Mod Manager (you will notice launching disables them)
4) Hit play.
(Thanks to Gameaholic, who posted this fix in the BUSTY thread.)
The Second:
F4SE beta 1.2.37 can bypass the Fallout 4 launcher entirely, which is what's disabling the mods.
If you use Nexus Mod Manager:
Copy all files into ur FO4 (steam-steam app-common-Fallout 4) now open NMM and go to Settings-Fallout 4 under Custom Launcher thers a field called Command, type in f4se_loader and save. Now enable all ESP´ S as the update disables them, go to Top left Corner on the NMM and change the Launch Fallout 4 to Launch Custom Launcher, should work.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of projects like f4se, and I like mod managers, but I know some people don't. And there are also times when updates to the game mean you would need to wait for updates to those solutions, which admittedly are usually pretty quick to be released. I hope it helps some people looking for a simple fix without any third party programs.
This makes steam think that it's launching the launcher, but it's actually launching the game. No launcher, no letting it change it, so you can keep using NMM or any other mod managers you want.
I haven't needed the launcher since the first few times I wanted to configure graphics options. All it's seemed to do since then is screw up my .ini files.
@lokihel
This is basically like my solution below, just that you do it via NMM - it should work well.
I don't know, if this workaround will work, if you have installed mods via NMM, I did that manually.
I've been playing this game non-stop on a continuous binge ever since it's day of release and as a videogame addict, I want back in a need to satisfy my fix....this is my first official "break" from the game and time is a wastin' so somebody please find a fix that actually works and I will be eternally grateful. Thank you.
As much as its a hassle...use either of these methods, but only reneable a few mods at a time. you should be able to narrow down which one is causing your crash.
