22.11.05 UPDATE
This is the largest content and improvement update to Raider Overhaul One
(RO1) yet. The additional content adds variety while maintaining the
Raider Overhaul feel and hopefully MadMax is pleased with the progress
of RO1. Leveled List (LL) restructuring further improves variety and
conflict resolution to allow injection/addition of other mods by Mod
Authors (MA) and users.
Danwat801 commented on a need to improve variety in RO UnderArmors. This was achieved by spilling the contents
of the two nested LL of LL_Armor_Raider_Underwear-RaiderOverhaul and
LL_Armor_Raider_Underwear-Vanilla into the parent of
LL_Armor_Raider_Underwear. This gave every Underarmor item an equal
chance of spawn and made LL_Armor_Raider_Underwear an appropriate target
for other MA or users to inject other underarmors.
A few weeks later, Slackroyd made a comment that the full armors and headwear should
have a similar treatment to increase variety and compatibility. He
even made the first draft of the Raider Overhaul One's Armor,
Underarmor, and Headwear Leveled Lists using https://www.diagrams.net/ . I'd been planning to improve RO weapon and armor LLs for some time
but kept putting the task on the back burner. It became time to act.
Slackroyd and I spend the new few weeks updating and testing version after
version of LL updates. Vanilla LLs needed to be used and implemented
where possible but some new RO1 LLs were required, especially for full
outfits and full helmets. A few of the old RO LLs were fully orphaned
while others were pulled out the regular flow of building an armor set
but retained for other functions on pre-defined Outfits. I updated the
LL diagram almost daily, sometimes for hours, during this process.
Now RO1 functions with standard mods while also having more specific
Injection Targets to allow the widest variety of outfit spawns while
avoiding conflicts. The LL and Injection Targets are fully explained
further down this page.
NEW CONTENT
This RO1 update directly adds many new items. These are HUGE wins for RO1.
The original mods are not required but downloading and endorsing the
mods would be a great way to show thanks to the MAs. Also, some of the
these mods are only partially included and only spawn on Raiders. The
full mod could be installed and used unless it is noted as "the entire
mod is included".
- Varied Raiders - The entire mod is included. The face variation and paints add a lot
of character to the faction. The LLs were separated into groups with a
maximum quantity of 25 to maximize performance. This is another
Slackroyd technique. - Slackroyd's patch to vary the size of Raiders from 93 to 106%.
- People Collars Version 1.0 - The entire mod is included.
- Handmade Post-apocalypse Hazmat Suit - 2 Outfits are used to make:
- Raider Radwalker Metal outfit
- Raider Radwalker Helmet
- Upgradeable Vault Suit - 2 Outfits are used:
- Reinforced Vault Suit
- Friday the 13th Hockey Mask - Only the Mask is included as a possible Raider facemask. Known minor issue - the GO model does not show in barter menus.
- Crimsomrider's Accessories:
- Earrings
- Earrings - Tracer 1
- Earrings - Tracer 2
- Golden Earrings
- Golden Earrings - Tracer 1
- Golden Earrings - Tracer 2
- Earrings - Mama Murphy
- Earrings - Mama Murphy Alt
- Earrings - Feather
- Eyepatch - Wraparound Goggle
- Wasteland Rebreather
- Bandana - Neck
- Raider Bloody "vest"ments for RO1 - Custom made by DaltontheWarlock.
- Also I added the Bowler Hat and a Dirty Black Suit Underarmor because they fit Raiders so well. DaltontheWarlock figured out the
Nuka skinny suits would work with Dirty Black Suit textures so that
saved the clipping mess I had with the regular suit
