Hey folks,

before I go into further details on what is upcoming next for Nuka World Plus,
I want to say once again that I am really greatful and happy y’all are still enjoying the mod!

It's been a long time since I have posted news on the nexusmods page,
however I planned to post an article after releasing the latest version anyway so there we go

let's start with the progress and see how the mod is coming a long way to reach its final goal:

Done:

  • A Minutemen main questline
  • The opportunity to clean up the park
  • A working radiostation with custom piano music
  • Side quests for the traders
  • fixes for reported bugs
  • Rework of Scripts for better performance
  • Rework of some Ai packages
  • New "dungeons", interior cells to explore almost finished by Dylan and Trey, Thank you Dylan; Thank you Trey!
  • A Squad system which allows the player to lead squads of his chosen faction around NW
  • A BoS main questline
  • Some Surprises and Easter Eggs

In progress:

  • Claim the other parts of the park with your
  • chosen faction - in my current development build you can claim kiddi kingdom and galatic zone
  • 3 main questlines in which the player will face new raider bosses of the different raider-factions (Disciples, Pack, Operator)
  • Make Nuka-Town USA upgradeable so it's easier to defend while assaults
  • Some new outfits for the traders (upgrade as well)

planned:
  • A Railroad main questline
  • A Institute questline
  • A special quest for the Nuka World raiders

As you can see from what I announced last year the mod made some good progress and I can't promise anything but I really hope it will
be finished by the end of the year, so I can move on to a entirely new project!

Anyway this article is not only about that but I also want to go a little bit into details about the upgrade System that I am working on currently.
So let's get into it:

different than originally planned the upgrade System will not only allow defense upgrades but also economic, Supply, Moral upgrades.

Also the upgrade system does not work via a dialogue with an architect (the dialogue will only function as a tutorial/ introduction into the system)
because I decided to make them part of a custom workbench.


The upgrades will either make it easier for you to defend, or just give you an advantage over time. Also all upgrades will have an visual impact on
Nuka World or their residents.

But you may ask what kind of upgrades will be available for Nuka World?

Well, let's get through some of them to answer that question.


Defense:
  • Auto defense (Nuka Town USA): places auto MKI defenses
  • Auto defense II (Nuka Town USA): places auto MKII defenses
  • Auto defense III (In all conquered parks): places auto MKIII defenses
  • Barracks bedrooms: Increases the number of possible squad members from 1 to 2
  • Barracks bedrooms II: Increases the number of possible squad members from 2 to 4

Economy:
  • Food and drink export: increases income by 50 caps per week
  • Medicine export: increases income by 50 caps per week
  • Weapon export: increases income by 125 caps per week
  • Nuka Cola export: increases income by 210 caps per week
  • Capy's coffee Clean up: increases income by 30 caps per week

Supplies:
  • Diamond City import: Gives traders normal clothes and decent weapons
  • Fountain: Adds dirty and purified water to the market of Nuka Town USA + water gets send frequently to the Overboss' Chest
  • Farm: adds food to the Nuka Town USA markets + food gets send frequently to the Overboss' Chest
  • Medicin laboratory: Adds Stimpacks and Rad Away to the Nuka Town USA market
  • Goodneighbor import: adds a trader from Goodneighbor to Nuka Town USA

Moral:

  • Propaganda Posters: -50% recruit Time for squads
  • Most Wanted Posters: +50% damage for defenders against attackers
  • Missing Person Posters: All missed persons get marked on a map
  • Grave Yard: doubles trader Resource & removes all corpses from Nuka Town USA
  • Nuka Town USA Clean Up: doubles income by raising tourism & disable all raider clutter

!!Keep in mind that all values could change in the future!!

More upgrades are planned to be worked on in the future but these are the ones I am currently implementing into the game,
so if you have any suggestions or ideas, feel free share them with me!

With the upgrade System there will be also a new gameplay mechanic which I thought would make exploring a little bit more exciting...
To explain it further we should take a look at the upgrade "Missing Person Posters" it will add all missing persons captured and enslaved or just kept
as hostage by the remaining raiders. Though you probably ask yourself why it should be bothering you to save them. Well, all upgrades are tied to a new
resource called "Worker" which is required for all upgrades. if you free the park you have an basic amount of workers already who will allow you to
purchase basic upgrades, though if you want to get more advanced upgrades you need to find and save the missing persons by the raiders and recruit them,
so they can help out rebuilding the park as well.

Also it can happen that through certain actions within the mainquest the player can either lose or win new workers.
Purchasing an upgrade doesn't take away the workers forever, however when the work on the upgrade is completed they can get reapplied again.
