I can't distribute files from Fallout: New Vegas in this mod, but I have set the mod up to work with the original files.
If you'd like to port them for yourself (for personal use only) all you need to do is extract the sound files from the Old World Blues archive, convert them from .ogg
to .wav
, then put them in the right directory. To do this I recommend 2 tools: Bethesda Archive Extractor (B.A.E.) and Yakitori Audio Converter. You'll also need FFmpeg to convert the .ogg
files. You need Windows 64-bit and Static selected, and I recommend getting the "Release Essentials" version.

Once you have all 3 files downloaded, start by extracting B.A.E., then launch
bae.exe
. Select File -> Open
on the menubar and navigate to your Fallout: New Vegas Data folder, then open Old World Blues - Main.bsa.

Press the
Select None
button on the top of B.A.E.'s window, then type "StealthSuitVoice" in the search box. Expand the boxes until you get to the "NVDLC03StealthSuitVoice" folder, and select it, which should look like this:
Click the
Extract
button, and choose your Desktop as the destination folder. Once B.A.E. is done, you can close it. Next, you'll want to extract Yakitori Audio Converter somewhere you can run it, then you'll want to open the FFmpeg archive. There should be a bin folder inside, for version 4.3.1, it's ffmpeg-4.3.1-[date].
Open this, and then open the bin
folder, where you should find 3 files. Copy ffmpeg.exe (or just ffmpeg) to the same folder you have Yakitori Audio Converted extracted to.
Once you've done that, open
YakitoriAudioConverter.exe
, and change the Input format
on the top of the left pane to .ogg/.oga
, and the Output format
to .wav.

Next, go to the menubar and select
File -> Open Folder
, and select the NVDLC03StealthSuitVoice
folder in the Sound folder that should be on your Desktop.
Check the
Same as input folder
box if it isn't already selected, and then hit Convert
. Let it run until it is finished, and then close Yakitori. Open the folder on your desktop, and enter the NVDLC03StealthSuitVoice
folder. You can delete the .lip
and .ogg
files, as they aren't needed. You can also delete any .wav
files with "x13", "k9000", "fido", or "upgr" in the name, but you do not have to. From here, navigate up 1 directory and rename NVDLC03StealthSuitVoice
to StealthSuitVoiceType
. Navigate up one more directory and rename OldWorldBlues.esm
to StealthSuitVoice.esp
. Once you've done that, you can archive the Sound folder on your desktop, and install that archive as a mod with your preferred mod manager. When you launch the game, your Stealth Suit Mk II should now have audible voice lines, instead of just subtitles.

Old World Blues - Main.bsa
should beSound\Voice\OldWorldBlues.esm\NVDLC03StealthSuitVoice\*all of the sound files*
and that path needs to change toSound\Voice\StealthSuitVoice.esp\StealthSuitVoiceType\*all of the sound files*
to work with the mod. You're only renaming the folders, you shouldn't be overwriting or editing any ESP files. Its weird because this worked for me a while ago when i first found the mod but an update to a file caused this mod to be replaced by a version without the audio.
[Edit]
fixed it i just had to put Yakitori and the .ogg files in the same folder
My other question is, can't I just manually place the Sound folder in the data files? If I can, to what directory?
However I do run into the problem where my pipboy clips through the suit and I have no hands. I don't know if that's an issue from the stealth suit or this mod because I didn't have that problem before I downloaded this mod.
Also I like your pfp and how you've made a reference out of your framework.
Have a nice day and keep up the impressive contributions to the Fallout 4 modding community!
(Just have to remember to select "General" format and "None" for compression or Bad Things will happen...)
