Great idea, but needs a version which is only one key to cycle through the modes. Pressing this key would also show the indicator for a couple of seconds. This is just too complicated with three keys.
BTW, use the free program antimicro to bind keys to controller buttons for macros, bullet time/pipboy activation, etc. I use antimicro with the bullet time mod, SCC, and the Readius mod, using the inbuilt FO3 support for the X360 controller. With a bit of tweaking it's nice.
I wanted to change the keys because I was shooting everytime I pressed left mouse. So changing the key for the menu (picked V instead of shift + E) works fine, BUT the keys for select the fire mod don't work.
HOWEVER, I went back to left / right mouse, and with the new "showmenu" key (V), I don't shoot. Pretty weird but it works so...
I know its years later, but this mod breaks my Automatic function - whether installed or not. So the only options that I can select successfully are S, 1, 3. 'A' mode does not seem to register and by default, all Automatic weapons are set to single-fire - again, whether installed or not.
For some reason whenever I try to launch FO3 with FOSE it crashes on launch. It doesn't even make it to the menu screen. It only does this with FOSE dependent mods, can someone help me fix this?
I originally downloaded this mod just for the sake of adding immersion but I'm actually finding out that the ability to change my automatic weapons to burst or single fire is quite useful for conserving ammo. I love running across mods like this because it's a simple idea that just improves the gameplay in a way that it feels like it was always there to begin with. Endorsed.
This mod is also not working for me, because selecting fire with the mouse buttons is hard enough that it is close to useless, and I can't change the fire keys. Maybe I'll use and endorse this if it is updated to work, but it doesn't work for me.
Just one thing... after a little test I notice that changing the weapon by hotkey reset the selection of the shotguns, althoug i just have one shotgun, TOZ - 34 (and I have to say, this shotgun already have a problem, its dont show the reload animation propely) the others weapons are fine, so my guess its something with the weapon, maybe not this mod.
Anyway, just want you know,(as you say that should work with any weapon) and its not a big issue, the rest of the mod is fine and are really awesome.
