Hmm .. interesting. I did changes prices of ammo and i did change lootables, but aparantly not enough to really have it make a difference. I didn't wanted to make to big a change early on tbh, so i was a bit carefull with how much i changed amounts.

I'm currently dividing my time between different projects, but next time i'll upload a new version of this and i'll decrease the loottables a lot more then.

About your suggestion. It should be possible to do i suppose. If not now, then when the geck is here. But i think it would involve some scripting and atm im not too good at scripting yet. Though im learning it now as well. I'll see what im able to do in any case.

    Thanks for reply. <img class=">

Been using this mod for about a week. I like it but my expectations were misplaced: I thought it would siphon money out of my pocket but it has not.

My current character has lasers 100, small guns 70, and big guns 20. I hoard all laser ammo, .32, .308, and .44 and pretty much sell everything else.

I like how the laser ammo is expensive, but I never really have to dip into my nest egg because I've always got a bunch of ammo I don't want, which often more than offsets the high cost of all the ammo I might buy from a dealer. Often times, for example, I will stock up on 308, laser ammo, and some other stuff (nades, mines, stimpaks) - sell back all the ammo I don't want, and end up getting caps from the dealer out of the transaction, which completely blows my ideal of wanting to hamper the flow of cash in the game.

For what it's worth - thinking aloud here - what if the resale value of ammo was dependent upon weapon skill? If I have 100 laser and 20 big guns, the laser ammo would be pricey (both to buy and sell) and the big gun ammo would be cheap (both to buy and sell). Since throughout a game I will increasingly want ammo only for the skills in which I am a specialist, such a mod would ensure that the ammo I want to buy is costly to me, while the ammo I want to dump is not profitable to me.

    Peace.

Well, that's not so difficult too do actualy. Reason i hav't done it yet is as you say, it's been done in some other mods too. Though i've made changes other mods do as well tbh.. <img class=">

But seeying i change more and more and a simple change starts to change in a mod ... I'm sure ill come to that eventualy.

I'm using some more tweaks myself, like food and such, though i haven't released those yet. Also i have some changes in there concerning stimpacks and radx and all that. But seeying there might be some actual interest on me releasing some of that stuff i think i just might.

Dunno when though, there seems to be a lot that can be changed with this game. but ill try to focus on food and such for a next mod. <img class=">

Oh, and thanks all for the interest. I appreciate it.

I really like your mod. I have a request though for a future mod. Is it possible to make Stimpacks a little bit more expensive, (say between 100-200 based on barter skill) and more rare in loot? Since you already figured out how to do this with ammo, I thought maybe this was possible.

There's a mod that already does this, but it too increases the price of ammo and increase rarity, but it's a bit extreme for my tastes. Your price balance seems to be about just right.

    A. really nice suggestion Maelstrom. I can use that. <img class=">

Right now im working on the lootlists. Making ammo a bit more rare to be found in loot. Also making it so that traders have more ammo. And On top of that ill mkae commonammo like 10mm 5.56 and shotgun shells relativly cheap and plentifull, while making more rare ammo for example the plasma guns, missles etc more expensive and even rarer.

Thanks for the input. <img class=">

Moving ammo down to the bottom of inventory is pretty nice, but raising the cost of ammunition at the dealers is not very effective considering how plentiful it is out in the wastes. If you coupled this mod somehow where you also made ammo more of a rarity (like some mods have done for Stimpaks, etc), it would be more effective, IMO. I'll wait to rate and DL until then. Just some constructive criticism. <img class=">

But actually now that I think about the whole idea - the individual health values for each and every enemy in the game would also have to be slightly modified to compensate for balancing issues, if ammo were to be more limited. Enemies take too many shots at times as it is in vanilla, so that might not be something to look into.
