    Fo3T 2c Frequently asked questions.

    Q:
    Is this compatible with Marts Monster Mod, the Fallout 3 Overhaul Kit and Fallout 3 Wanderers edition?

    A:
    Fook: No problems reported.
    MMM: No problems reported. If you use the Increased Spawns plugin, you should leave the spawn numbers you can configure at the Fo3T Terminal on 1.
    FWE: Incompatibility with the Primary Needs section, because Fo3T edits all food. It can happen, that you are no longer able to serve your primary needs if you play with Fo3T. To prevent this, simply uncheck the Fo3T food esp file.

    Q:
    Does Fo3T replace the default weapons, armors and / or creatures?

    A:
    No. But it edits them, adds scripts and whatnot. So if you already play with replacers for the default weapons, you should set the esm and esp files BELOW the Fo3T esm and esp files in your load order, to override the Fo3T edits.

    Q:
    I have constant crashes, crashes when i save and even crashes on starting Fallout 3 while using Fo3T.

    A:
    There can be several reasons for the crashes:

    1.: You installed Fo3T and started playing with your old character.
    Fo3T deeply changes the whole wasteland. So if you load a save of a character, that already visited many places and collected many items, this may simply rip up the game, because the savegame settings for values, items and spots in the wasteland are incompatible with the Fo3T records and edits. Start a new Character.

    2.: You are already using several large plugins / Your system doesn't have enough power.
    Using MMM, Fook, FWE, all DLCs, other big plugins AND Fo3T will definetively require a good CPU and a lot of RAM. Fo3T is written with an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ CPU, 2 GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon 3450 graphic card. Consider this as minimum settings for running Fo3T without other plugins. So either you uncheck some Fo3T esp files, esp files of other mods or even the whole Fo3T.

    3.: Load order.
    The old sad song of the load order. Read the THE INSTALLATION section of the readme file.

    4.: Plugin incompatibilitys.
    One or all of the Fo3T Plugins are completely incompatible with a plugin you use. Uncheck the Fo3T Plugins one by one, to see wich one causes the trouble. Do the same with the other plugins you use. Then decide, wich one you want to be active.

    Q:
    I switched something in the configuration terminal but nothing happens.

    A:
    See if you run a plugin that overrides the Fo3T edit, that you changed at the terminal. Creature, Food and NPC changes only work, if you use the Fo3T Creature, Food and / or NPC plugins. It also may help if you exit the game, reload and set the config button again.

    Q:
    I have a portable terminal and activated it in the pipboy menu, exited the pipboy menu - and nothing happened.

    A:
    Hotkey the portable terminal. To do so, press and hold the numeric 1 button and leftclick the portable terminal item. Then exit your pipboy menu and hit that 1 button.

    Q:
    The armor ratings of nearly all Fo3T armors are poor like hell. Why the heck is that so?

    A:
    Because the most armors in Fo3T are simple clothings. And simple clothings don't have high armor ratings, eh? Collect headwear and backpacks. That can give you a little AR bonus. Combat armors and power armors have higher armor ratings.

    Q:
    I repaired an item but the condition bar only raised very little. Why the heck is that so?

    A:
    Because in Fo3T you need a lot of items to repair your weapons and armors if your repair skill is low. That is, because Fo3T adds a lot of miscellaneous items, like scissors and scrap metal, to the repair lists. Try wich misc. items repair your equipment. Collect them. Use them.

    Q:
    My character starts with only 20-30 health and gets only 5 health points per level. Why is that so and how can i ever survive the wasteland?

    A:
    I changed the Gamesettings for the starting health and the health, that is added on a levelup. I wanted Fallout 3 to be a challenge, not the god-shooter it was on release. If you want your character to have more health, set the health amount to your liking at the coniguration terminal. You can too switch off the creature abilitys, raise your weapon damage, spread and hit chance at the configuration terminal. If you just started a new game, you should get a portable terminal @ the configuration terminal.

    Q:
    I equipped a Fo3T armor. Parts of it are now tansparent. How can i fix this?

    A:
    This is an engine problem. Simply unequip and re-equip the armor or change from 3rd to 1st perspective.

    Q:
    Does the weather A-BAM work with other weather mods?

    A:
    Yep, it does. It even works without the Fo3T weather esp file. BUT:
    I changed the weather classifications of all weathers. A visually cloudy weather don't need to be classified as Cloudy in Fo3T. But in other mods, there may be so much cloudy weathers, that the most NPCs and creatures could have the "Cloudy" A-BAM state most of the time. That wouldn't be funny. Just try and see, if the weather A-BAM works well with other weather mods.

    Q:
    I stood next to an exploding car and accumulated radiation on an incredible speed. What the heck happens there?

    A: I raised the radiation accumulation rate. I like radiation to be a dangerous factor in the "calculation of survival".
    You have several possibilitys to work against gettig radiated: Find or buy food that gives you radiation resistance. Raise your medical skill to benefit from a high Rad-X bonus. Raise your science skill to benefit from higher resistance bonuses from foods. Get the Food sanitizer.

    Q:
    The Supermutants aren't using their weapons. They have them in their inventory, but they attack with fists. Why the heck is that so?

    A:
    Either you just updated from an earlier version and the Data of your loaded savegame still says, that the weapon the SuMu currently uses, is not in the list that tells the creature wich weapon it can use.
    Or you use a plugin that changes the supermutant weapon list and therefore overrides the Fo3T weapon list for supermutants.
    It IS one of this two solutions. On my machine all Supermutants use the new melee and ranged weapons.
