Well, unfortunately, what it should do and what it is doing are, for me, two very seperate things! That stupidly pointless Windows error message provides zero info as to what the problem is. I've tried shutting down all non-essential processes, right down to just required Windows processes, my Anti-Virus and anti-spyware and still the .exe crashes with the usual:
"FNV_Plugins has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I will not disable my anti-virus or anti-spyware because that simply should not be required by something like this! Everything on my system is fully up-to-date, so I'm wondering if recent .net Framework updates may be preventing this from running properly? If there's a conflict then I don't know what it could be, and, quite frankly, at this point I've had enough.
@Grizzly_UK: The EXE location doesn't matter, and it's name only affect which tab and game will be displayed first, it should work regardless of how you name the file and where you place it.
I can only guess that you have some conflict with another application.
When I try to run the .exe it crashes with the usual Windows crash error:
"FNV_Plugins has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Running WinXP, SP3 with .net Framework installed. I've tried running it from an empty Temp folder, from the main Fallout3 folder and from My DocumentsMy GamesFallout3 folder. Tried v4.0.4.0 and v4.0.3.9, same result every single time with both versions, try to run the .exe and it just crashes. Renaming the .exe makes no difference either, it still crashes when I try to run it, always with the same error message no matter what I've renamed the .exe.
Neat little utility, however I can't get the launch button to work. Yes I do use FOSE, I right-clicked to select Fallout, is there something else I need to do?
I dont suppose that you could make this mod Save the game aswell... I been looking all over for a Mod that Saves the Game as A Alternative means of Saving... I have a Big problem at this Moment as I cannot save anymore for some stupid reason and I have over 120+ hours of Gameplay... Just need a savior to gimme my gameplay back.. I dunt wanna go thru the game again and lose my Dominion over the wastelend...
hey man I have the same problem that you, after about 38 to 39 hours play my game can't save anymore, no matter where I try to, even with autosave. It is happening to me between level 9 and 10. I have these plugins running among many outfititting mods and companions mods (but I don't think those kind are the problem):
DecreasedLevelUp Perks Welcome ToTheWasteland Underworld Underground Ring Station settlement 0.81&& Seducing women Weapon-SomeKatanas Special Forces Vault 1.2 && BuyANukaColaQuantumCapsPristine A6Wasteland Bosses1 Fallout3BetterPaceMod FreePlay && Princess Big Blue house && Princess RivetCity house FIXED
could u list me your installed mods to see if there are matches?
I suspect specially of the ones marked with a && in the list after some tests ... could be other maybe ...
Ah understood. That would be illegal to attempt something like that on your own. No worries... Its just probably i reached my Data Storage Limit or something..

Downloading now for a try.
Burmecian did you read the directions about not moving the original Save game folder and the need for Net Framework?
but it gives me the error "reading game file encountered a problem." and refuses to start.
how can i fix that?
Are you using Vista 64bit? The latest version deals with that bug.

Cheers and good luck with this.
sorry, but no chance at all.
you need to be a bethesda developer with access to the engine source code for something like that.
