I found these textures to be a bit too gritty and dark so I blended them with the vanilla textures in photoshop. Perfect balance. Thanks!

You can't install it directly with NMM. You must either repack it so the textures are placed in a folder structure like this:

      textures\landscape

Or, alternatively, extract them manually to that folder.

The 8192 textures rock BTW (sorry for bad pun).

Hi, guys! Has anyone noticed that the lighting on the rocks is not quite right (some rocks shine like hell while others remain really dark) at certain hours of the day or is it only on my PC?

      Did you fix the problem?

If not what are your shadow options, and are you using a ENB?

Yes, ususally this is due to 'archive invalidation' not being activated... if it already is, then toggle off, then back on and see if the graphics show up.

EDIT: This mod is FIVE years old... the other texture pack is four years old, and the terrain textures were deliberately made smaller as hardware is not as good as today's hardware and people needed good performance.

AWESOME! You need to make a texture pack for Everything! not just rocks, terrain,or 2 city's. EVERYTHING Then you'll get a huge megaton cookie

Thanks for the information. Its too bad I can't use the new bumpmaps since my harddrive is lousy at loading big files. Z_Z

rockcanyoncluster01_n.dds is the normal map or 'bump map' of the texture, that provides data that gives the rocks the 3D appearance; by not using it, you are using the original game bumpmap. If you are getting a performance lift by not using it thats great; there is a slight graphical difference at that resolution (as shown by the screenshots, but not as noticable as the higher resolutions) but you may find it not enough of a visual pay-off compared to the performance loss.

What does rockcanyoncluster01_n.dds does to the rocks anyways? I wanted to ask since I found out that using only rockcanyoncluster.dds improves my game's perfomance without any change in rock visuals. This is the default resolution btw.
