(The FO4edit doesn't have comments so I post it here) What is a "template color index" where can I find it in other mods? I need it if I'm going to change the skincolor of custom races.
Okay, this place died a long time ago. Still i want to say how much this saved me.
I couldnt use 3 different mods because they had some incompatibilities (not sure if that's how that word is spelled). So i searched and found this recomended on a random forum. With this program (even without any knowing/tutorial and with my poor english) i made to not only solve that problem, but also i've made to move some textures from one mod to other 2, changing some language translation issues from english to my natal language and fixed a problem with one npc that was bothering my mind...
So, even if its 5 years after the last comment, if you ever read this, thanks a lot.
Btw, if there's any "actual" modder out there and read this, im having problems with a script right now... started modding 7 hours ago with this and G.E.C.K. so dont expect much... Yet i belive i can find it out, just need a hand hehe.
Thanks for the kind feedback. I am about 7 days away from releasing the Fallout: New Vegas version of the manual - been writing it now for 3 weeks. It will include new sections on merging mods and transferring mods from Fallout 3 to Fallout: New Vegas legally. I'll post a link to the new doc next Sunday, targetting 11/28.
@llloyd; While your comment about the text hurting your eyes was amusing, I made white and black versions that you can download. Also Fo3Edit doesn't copy facial data correctly, there isn't enough space in the edit field as you have noted to push data there. I think Elminster fixed it for New Vegas, but not 100% sure (you would have to ask him, luck with that).

I'm trying to install FWE on windows 7 on a steam fallout goty and I think I've managed to do mostly everything right but when I get to Zeta this is what happens [00:33] Background Loader: [Zeta - Main.bsa] Loading Resources. [00:33] Background Loader: [Zeta - Sounds.bsa] Loading Resources. [00:33] Background Loader: [C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 goty\Data\] Setting Resource Path. [00:33] Background Loader: terminated
Do I really have to apply the Filter mentioned in the Modcleaning section for the cleaning process? Or can I start cleaning right after finishing of the Background Loader?
Maybe you can clear that up for me and thank you for showing me how to use FO3Edit.
I am at wits end, I hope the answer I need will be in this document. I am running Windows 7 and the Steam version of FO3 GotY edition. In XP, before I reinstalled and upgraded to Windows 7, FO3 Edit worked. In Win 7 I get a "Fatal: Unable to read Software/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout3 " error. The key is there in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE grouping so I am at a loss. Has a value in it that holds the install directory for FO3 which is Drogram FilesSteamSteamAppsCommonFallout 3 GotY . So I am confused. I want to modify the Cassie companion mod to make her into a Shojo race, but the GECK won't let me load multiple Masters so I can't make the Shojo ESM a required file. I can do that in FO3 Edit but not the GECK. So I really need to get FO3 Edit fixed. Anyone with any idea? I'll tell Steam to reinstall FO3 but I don't think that'll help. >.< Thank you for your time.
