Wait, this looks like an spoiler, what FEV water? D:
Meh, I chosing goodie side anyway, I never played borken steel.. Just won the game without it with goodie ending, now I am re-playing it to achieve goodie ending, again, lol.
Anyway, what does this do really? I am kinda confused.
I know this is seven years later, but if you put the FEV in the panel, all the water is infected and causes the imbiber's white blood cells to attack the body, causing it to break down, total organ failure, internal bleeding, etc, in irradiated persons. Only a few people will survive this genocide.
the modified FEV virus was actually meant to kill everything born outside a vault and the enclave, the character was born in Project Purity.....just to explain the so called "screw up"
The WSG quest gives you a mutation, and it's one of the first quests most people take because it takes 2 minutes to get the (extremely useful) mutation.
i did not know that you died by drinking fev water in broken steel 'cause i don't own i yet, i plan on buying it eventually, and when i do i will download this because eden says you are immune during your conversation even if you weren't born in a vault. But i guess you should make the player die if he has the mutation from the quest those and the wasteland survival guide
Who the hell knows how FEV works? After all, if it would define human genome too strictly, then all the Enclave would die along with the locals. Maybe it looks only for some genetic signature of obvious mutation for safety reasons. After all not everyone started dying. At least that's what I am going to keep on saying to myself when I install this mod and think I didn't hurt the lore.
good stuff here... And people, please don't argue about lore. To each his or her own. Personally I believe the Lone Wanderer would be immune because he lived his life securely without radiation. The small discrepencies that are genetic are only from his parents, and it is unknown where they were born.
We know nothing of the LW mother and his fathers true history is also never revealed.
Great mod man! Thanks. Fits perfectly with my idea of the LW
Perhaps the player didn't do Moira's experiments? At any rate, if there's enough demand for it I might create another version of the mod where the FEV still affects you, but not as seriously, say 10 doses before death, but if the player has done various radioactive activities over the course of the game (Moira's experiments for example) then they are more seriously hurt by the FEV.
