StewB, this is truly amazing, we've been wondering how to get magic in-game for ages. I was wondering if i can contact you about membership for a modding community, i will tell you more about it if you wish to contact me. I think it would be fun and a good way to test and perfect your materia mod as well as add new depth and value to our mod as well. I'll tell you what the mod is if you mail me at [email protected]. I hope i hear from you soon. Great job!

Woo, cool mod. Bit of a bug report though: It seems that when you have steal, you can't talk to anyone.
Not a huge deal for me, I was just about to try and make a portable version of the materia thingies.
Or just stuff them in another mod I use.

You did click the "View Readme" button above the desc tab?

Primarily it's a modder's resource, but i added a playable .esp to show how they could be used, kinda grew from there.

    Anyway

    • Materia is collected as random loot and installed in your body via materia system activators
    • Random loot from enemies and containers Lvl 5 min to find it
    • Materia system activators at Craterside supply and Tenpenny tower allow you to put the materia into your body to activate it
    • It's materia, ever played Final Fantasy VII? Basically in my conversion it gives perks with abilities like materia in FFVII gave you. Full list of abilities is already in description.
    • Misc item that you need to be carrying before you can use the materia system activator

Edit: Added "Please use Readme viewer" text at top of page as most people don't realise it is there.

It's also getting harder and harder to find support and command materia than can be converted <img class="> Summons are easy, O.k all the coding and so forth to make them is quite hefty but it's simple enough to do, as the vast range of summons available makes me spoilt for choice, ditto for magic and independent. Steal was a major headache but seems to be working now. Once I got five of each type of materia I'm hoping to give it an Mug option too. I'm just grateful than the Final Fantasy wikia has a list of all the materia for me to search through for command and support that looks like it can be used in Fallout 3

Edit: At the end of the video the Deathclaw was meant to jump off the bridge after me, which is what he did in the first take, but somehow teleported down... It was meant to show that they are summonable again after death. *sigh* so much for the best laid plans in the face of an insane Ifrit style Deathclaw....

No you have all the files you need, but not everything has materia, i added it to random levelled list, and it has about a 15% chance at best of appearing in whichever list it is in. Although that has been reduced to a 10% at best recently. The container i most often find them in is Gore Bags and First Aid Kits, although they are not limited to these. If you want a full list of everywhere they appear just open the .esp in the G.E.C.K and look at the script that adds them into the world. Also ensure there in no conflicts with this mod, although there shouldn't be. To double check, check Moira Brown/Chief Gustavo is selling them, if she has none then it's probably a conflict/.esp error.
