this is a lie - there is no combat xp adjustment, can't believe it has so many endorsements...

if you want a complete and working as described check my files.

    To JimmyNoskill

When checking this mod in FO3Edit its clear that it only change xp settings. Probably was the other changes part of an earlier mod.

The readme and description of this mod say that it only affects XP gain, but the comments seem to indicate that it also alters movement speed, radiation, and some other things. I'd love the former but am not so keen on the latter. Could someone tell me what exactly this mod changes?

I'm really looking forward to trying this out! I've played through F3 3X now Once Easy, Once Normal & Once Hard... all 3 times I was already level 20 and I'd only seen about 1/2 of the Wasteland. The only way (in my opinion) that the leveling system in F3 would have been appropriate as it is "out of the box" is if all you do is the main story line and don't go see anything else. Thanks for taking the time to address this with your mod.

Still getting 36 xp for talon company mercs (at level 2).

Is this unavoidable because of the difficulty difference?

raising the level cap is not a smart thing to do.
the world stops leveling up around you when you reach about level 16. so whats the point of going over 20?

it makes for a MUCH better game if you simply take more time to get there... then your exposure to stronger enemies and more advanced equipment is more gradual and there's a better feeling of progress.

    think about it.

This looks good and well refined.

I plan to integrate this mod with my ZalmoLab Ltd. Pack, which features resets of the player's level to 1.

Credit and kudos will be given, of course. <img class=">

thanks for this mod, i will try it out now.

As i'm in Hard difficulty and already lvl8 just because i explored a bit and didn't even go yet to Galaxy Radio, i know i'll reach lvl20 way too fast with the standard game rules.

I've been playing the fallout way: killing a maximum of things, hacking opening everything, selling a lot. Well i've been playing as if it was very hard to lvl up and reach the level of power necessary to cut mutants in peaces easily.

But this game is not intended for that. It's supposed to be wrapped up in maybe 20 or 40hours of playtime. Which is quite unbelievable for a RPG game with an open world where the interest of the game is in seemingly infinite exploration. Like Morrowind that was crammed with hundreds of secret places.

So i thank you for this small and smart mod, you've seized the main game mechanic and your attempt mught be a good approach.

Still, i think that in addition to slower exploration XPing, a level cap rising will be necessary, at least to 25 or 30 if one really goes everywhere, does all the quests, etc.
