This works, but please be aware that the code described to give the caps are a little wrong. The first two numbers depend on where it sits in your mod order, for the author it was "64" for me it was "44," so really it should be written as:
player.additem XXXXXXXX 1
(Replace XXXXXXXX with the numbers below)

Can you tell me how you got the hair showing on the pics? I only d'loaded this cause i liked the fact they didn't remove your hair but they actually do on my game and i'm not sure why. They're clearly not removing everyones hair cause someone posted they had clipping issues, was it some dlc that changed this maybe?
I know its been years, but if you happen to see this and remember how you did so could you let me know? I've fiddled around with some things but it doesn't seem to matter which hairstyle I use, the hat covers it up. Any help would be super appreciated!

The instructions are a little bit missleading . The first two numbers of the item code have the be the order number of the mod in your load order. You can find this number using Wrye Flash or FO3edit.
For instance if you want to add the combat cap you have to write in the console player.additem XX0022A5 1 (without the quotes) where XX is the number of the mod in your load order. This number depends on how many mods you have installed and can vary from player to player.

Or is there maybe a way for me to edit the height of the hats? How far they sit off the head.
