I feel the need to ask, on the off chance you'll see this, but because the forum thread is down, there is basically no way to figure out where all the recipes are. Please... Please tell me where they are.
Mississippi Quantum Pie is at Girdershade, Hatchling Stew is at the Anchorage Memorial, Meat Sweetroll is at Vault 101, Wonder Meat is in Jury Station, Nukalurk Cakes are outside Red Racer Factory, and Strange Meat Pies are at Andale. But where is the last one??? PLEASE!
I didn't expect a response, let alone on April Fools! But I was actually just about to check the Bazaar (after a dozen other possible locations), glad to know my hunch was right. Thank you SO MUCH.
After searching thru posts thats where I just found my copy of joy of cooking, and I'd also love to finds the rest of them, other wise this mod will be pointless having .. But my question is, why must all fodd still give rads, you might as well just eat rad ridden food with rad away after wards >_<
Hey I really like the idea of this MOD I would however like to point out a few things. There seem to be issues with sellers. Now I have a lot of Mods but none of them relate to Megaton or Moira. Moira is not selling it in my game. Now here is where it gets really strange. I obtained my house in megaton first through the normal route. I later obtained The suite at Tenpenny Tower through a Mod after murdering Tenpenny himself. I then let the ghouls in and the normal vendors left. Guess who is selling the Cookomatic 3000 ? Michael Masters the ghoul. OK at least I got it. Now mind you by this time I have already explored 90 % of the wasteland; now I have to go and search it all over again for the books? This would be fine for a new game but frankly I'm damn near done Not Counting Broken steel. My point is that I do think that some of the books should be hidden but at least a few should be purchasable either through vendors or scavengers. So how about dropping a few hints about where some of the books can be found. That link to the forums does not work by the way.
Yeah I'm with you about the books thats just ........ imo , I like to think of myself as a carefull scrounger in fo3 wasteland, but I did read and remmeber that when you get the quest to back to vault 101 there is a recipe book on the floor of that eatery room where you had your birthday party, wherre the stupid robot chops up your cake, ... I find it not very fun and dam frustating to find these blasted books, and really prefer if a merchant or some randon caravaner sold them but quite frankly it makes the dam pointless having if you can find the books, and what if that is placed somewhere and a grneade gets thrown, does the book go flying into the void ?? So BIg + ! to mervchant book buying idea
Ok since having this, I handnt found one recipe, and now level 20 and still nothing, and I like to think I look carefully when exploring, .. But scrolling back on old posts foind the hints post and have done nuka challenge and spoke to moira and got the recipe for the pie which is now showing, tho it gives you 4+ rads along with other things... Alsot teh cookomatic can be picked up with Z and moved if you thing its clipping with other things too much, tho is a couple of days the celll may reset it back to original spot... Locations HInts
location tips, if you know where you come across Mississippi quantum pie, strange meat pies and a sweet roll in the game, then they're good places to start looking for the recipes.
I must be blind...I can't find the Cook-o-matic 3000 for sale anywhere in Megaton. I tried all the vendors I can find....can someone tell me who sells it?
It would appear that the author no longer supports this MOD. There are other issues with this MOD that the author was apparently aware of if one reads the "Readme" file. There are I have found other undocumented bugs. For instance you are supposed to be able to use recipes that are in the vanilla game, like the recipe for quantum pie which you can legitimately get from Sierra Petrovita in Girdershade. Try it you will most likely find you cant use it. It would be great if someone would pick this project up and finish it. It seems like its mostly finished but needs some polishing. Im not up to the task though.
Just tested this mod. All recipes work fine for me, including the quantum pie. You may have conflicts with this mod you need to resolve, especially if you're running FWE.
I may be thicker than a whale omelette, but I've been mooching around with this mod for a while and while I've bought myself a cook-o-matic I've yet to find a copy of either book yet. Gissa clue someone, purty please...
