Been too long in the update... I intend(ed) to make this a "Craft" compatible mod, but I've been studying up on the GECK & Nifskope, and not got back to it yet.
It does work with or without "Craft", but the worckbench upgrading part is broken if using the Craft mod (though you can use the Form ID codes to achieve the same thing).
Thank you very much, I'm glad you are liking it. I played quite a few weeks with it and tinkered with the balance until it seemed right.
I'd like to slow the draw speed down myself (to act more like the Missile Launcher when drawn), but I seem to recall that when I tried, I'd lose the timing on the fire/reload animations for some reason. That was one of the two problems I kept having with it. (the other is that the added "plasma rifle" parts are just too shiny(!), and not quite as intended.
I'm going to re-release this mod soon as CRAFT compatible, and would gladly slow it down if someone who knows, would better explain how it can be done.
I'll see what I can find out about how others are doing custom weapons, and see if I find anything.
For the time being though... There is the Item code, if it wont work for some reason... Type: player.additem 010057D3, 1 for the upgraded gun, and type: player.additem 0100154D, 1 for the original version.
*Edit: I just looked up CRAFT, and I think you might me right, I'll see about getting it to work with that; After I get a good look at it.
Is just me, or was the original rifle thinner and bigger? I think its jut me, but I have been thinking about that ever since I downloaded this version and went back to watch the video. Personally, I think its just because the youtube window is smaller?
Well anyway, I did have the note, took the plasma rifle and wonderglue and put them into my inventory, I made sure I met the skill requirements, and whenever I tried it failed. Perhaps its CRAFT that is causing the problem? Maybe you can make a Weapon Mod Kits type of version in order to modify it. Then, you can have this basic modification, and in the future, if you feel like it, you can let people modify it with a scope and stuff. When and if you have more time and the ability to create custom meshes for this, that is. Just a dream. ">
I was concerned about that.. The work bench checks your skills, your inventory (for Wonder Glue and a Plasma Rifle), and for the Note found on the merchant. You have to have it all.
For the time being the merchant does not offer to sell the note, and the quick solution is to take it from him (at a loss to Karma). I intend to fix that.
Barring the above... It might be the case that another mod that affects the Workbench has loaded after (and undone the additional weapon script).
I love this mod and have been waiting for it ever since you posted about it on the Bgsforums, and it is awesome. The hat on the guy is pretty cool too.
But about upgrading the rifle...I'm not going to do it, maybe not until later on, because it makes the gun look demented in my opinion, and I have enough Alien Power Cells and would prefer a lesser clip and more power anyway, but the time I did want to upgrade it it did not allow me. Weapon modding didn't work, CRAFT didn't work, nor did the regular workbench itself. And my repair and science skills are both 100, so that cannot be the problem...
But thats the only problem. Excellent work, and kudos to you.
Nice and weird looking weapon there. Gotta give it a go and se what it does. Shame didn't put it in another space craft thingee in the wastes. Thanx for the work

I was wondering if you could let us know how to slow that down if we want to,not that its a big deal, just kinda for realism or whatever.
Loving the gun so far, I used it all the way through Point Lookout, except for sniping.
Here is a clip I just made using the mod (as it is).

Is this at all like what you are seeing?

Remember that the gun has two forms, and the second is only achieved by using the Workbench and having the parts and the skill to make the changes.
Please post if there are problems found with this part of the mod so I can correct it.
