You don't need an item code to give it to your companions, I don't know about the rest of you, but mine respawned a few days later. That being said, I too am experiencing crashing, but only lately, I've been using this mod for a good while, just now started being buggy. The second I crouch to activate, it freezes. I'm thinking it's having problems with my RR Companions...
EDIT: Yes, it was my companions causing the problems, I'm not sure it will work with Bernie or any RR Companions, they seem to copy you, so maybe giving the followers Stealth Underwear will allow it to work. Bernie caused my crashes, I can now activate without crashing. This WILL work with vanilla companions, for sure, Jericho is still with me
Very buggy, game crashes after using the stealth a couple times and on top of that the stealth effect stays on my character after getting rid of the stealth underwear AND uninstalling the mod.
Maybe its just me but for some reason after I stop wearing the underwear I still seem to cloak and I uninstalled the mod to see if that would fix the problem and I still seem to cloak as if wearing the stealth underwear so if you have any ideas on how I would fix this problem please post but awesome mod otherwise.

Seems like with this mod on, Broken Steel does not work.
