There is a kind of glitch inherent in this item. If you use the included normal-maps (that is, [rest_of_the_filename]_n.dds), you will clearly see the word "robco" reflected off this outfit in-game because it seems to use the exact same normal map as the Robco jumpsuit. Fortunately, Red's jumpsuit has no text on it, so when setting up your custom texture sets, don't use the provided [your_path]\Prisonjumpsuitmale_n.dds (or ...female_n.dds), put Armor\Red\OutfitM_n.dds as the normal map path for the male texture set and Armor\Red\OutfitF_n.dds for the female texture set.
So I've followed the instructions as closely as I can (the instructions and the images are a bit lacking and vague in places), and although I've got the item to appear in game, it's not displaying correctly.

(a) In GECK, texture for the clothing item (ie when the item is on the ground) looks incorrect when I use "GO", but correct when I use "Male"
(b) In game, the clothing item's texture is not orange, but changes based on the environment (almost like its chameleon)
© When equipped, the jumpsuit is either black or changes based on the environment
Any ideas?
