This is really neat, but it needs one thing as part of it.

The mod should add Geiger counters to the game. In Fallout 1 & 2, the player could equip one to get an accurate readout of their affected rads; They could take Rad-Away and check the counter to see if taking more would be a waste, and better to wait a while.

If you want to make it better, it should really read "Irradiated"

By the way, it is actually quite realistic to have access to relatively precise info on how irradiated you are, as most modern Geiger counters keep an accumulative track of how many rads you have been exposed to. However i can see that you are making this to conform with original Fallout standards, so no worries.

I still can see the level of radiation. when you are in a area were your radiation increases (like in water), you have that +1rad/sec thing in the top right corner. but above that, there is a little bar, which shows you your total amount of radiation, just like the statusbar in the pipboy did. any chance you could remove that?
if I understood something wrong then im sorry

Hey man, awesome mod but...is their by any chance you could please make a version that ONLY adds the "RE-REDUX" features of the mod which is the red "radiated" thing and the text underneath? I really like that, yet I still want to keep the normal pop-up bar in the top right.

If you could do this, i'd be very thankful ^^!

I should probably have asked you first qzilla but it was more of a personal project to see what I could do with Fallout 3 and if I would like the modding part of this game.

After I noticed MechanicalPirate requested the same features I already implemented, I polished them up and released them.

I have the intention to build upon this first version of this mod for a long time and will modify other things as well, so in the end our two mods will probably be very different.

And thanks for the esp offer, but where is the fun when I let others do the work for me? <img class="> I will start looking into what you said about the SPEL properties in the esm, thanks for the heads up.

Was surprised to see this, but feel free to take the reins. Removing the rad sickness messages from the top left will be hard, unless they turn out to be string GMSTs which they might be. Also, changing the rad sickness effects isn't too hard since they are just SPEL's in the .esm. If you tell me what you want to change them to I could probably whip up an .esp to do that.

I agree that this isn't the ideal solution but it's the only one I can provide you with for now.

I will start writing more text-based descriptions that are more in line with the actual effect the character is suffering, but to do that I will have to find a way to actually alter the Radiation effects in game, because the 3 or 4 different effects right now are way too few and way underpowered.
