It was one bug indeed, but it was a gamebreaking one for me. Anyway I'm glad to see it fixed, the mod works perfectly for me now, everything as intended.
If anyone knows how to remove an older rating, tell me please, because now I feel that Jinxed deserves more than just 3.

Thanks for the feedback m0eb1us. Though a 3 rating, seems kinda low for just one bug, and disagreement about how often an effect applies. Though that may be my wounded ego talking =P.

Made sure to fix that bug. Went back and checked the math. Turns out it actually had a 30%/second chance of applying. That's been tweaked to something more reasonable.

Ooo, Pariah Dog. Forgot all about him, thanks.

I will definitely be looking into that.

Any chance of Pariah Dog doing guest entrance? Would be kind of poetic. Hmm this gives me an idea for a mod where creepy NPC keeps stalking main char. But when you kill, it comes back after some time with double hp and s to infinitude. Kind of like Jason.

Agh damn I remember that dog, I thought I was doing it a favor, cue assult on vault 15! WTF My Sniper Rifle Exploded!

Thanks for the comments. I have finally got the knockdown working on the player and will be uploading the next version soon. Just need to work on the probabilities some more.

The rationale behind using the knockdown rather than a slew of other things is such:

The original Jinxed applied critical failures to every enemy you faced, it caused weapon drops, crippled limbs, and general hilarity. I wanted mine to do something similar, but act appropriately for Fallout 3 - new engine new rules.

I also wanted to keep it as simple as possible to cut down on any issues that would creep up.

Having a chance to cripple the arms was my first choice, but I found it annoying having to heal up my arms all those times. And didn't have the incapacitating effect I was looking for on the enemy.

I also considered weapon jamming, but that still has a bug with automatic weapons and didn't apply to animals and melee attacks.

Sadly, because you can't call up a reference for what a target has currently equipped, I don't know how to implement proper weapon dropping.

For the future I will release a Super Mega Bad Luck edition, that includes weapon jamming, mines have random detonation times and ranges, and small explosions (to simulate damaging critical failures).

As I used the GECK I realized it really isn't built for more exotic effects, so I'm hard pressed to get this mod like the original Jinxed. I'm fairly happy with the knockdowns though. Simple, works on everything, isn't over powered, and is as amusing as it should be.

Suggestions and tips are always welcome.

Try including a chance for dropped weapons or weapons breaking too, also Fallout1/2 balanced it by you being just as likely to be effected by the bad luck as everyone else!

Sounds good, might give this a try! ^_^

Not sure how the original Jinxed trait worked in the old games, cause I never took the risk to try it, and always had better traits to pick. lol

But I thought the downside to this trait was that it made unlucky things happen to you as well?
"The good thing is that everyone around you has more critical failures in combat, the bad thing is - so do you!"

Does this new perk have a slight risk of making the player stumble too? If not, I'd suggest it for future versions. (course, not as frequent as it happens to enemies, but there's gotta be at least a small downside. lol)

Either way, I'm sure it's pretty funny to see an enemy stumble over during a fight. xD
