Before I start, I should thank you for putting this out to help us with. I also await the day where we can just edit the meshes via a NifEditor itself instead of having to go through so much just to port a mesh back in to make one simple modification to the mesh it's part of.
I agree with Krillinsn--Screencaps of each step would help out a good deal. Currently I'm trying to modify an outfit but the results are that the modifications either don't show, or if I actually replace the mesh component in question (from bunny suits to ammo packs, take your pick) with the modified one, it'll look all screwed up when I view it in G.E.C.K. despite turning out just fine in NifSkope.
I use Blender for mesh editing and even tried rescaling the mesh in question in Blender so it wouldn't pose any problems in NifSkope but that also turned out to be a dead-end. Safe to say this is no cakewalk, but I'll keep trying.
if at all possible could you take screen caps of each step, highlight or circle the importain parts in bright red, notes like that usually help me anyway, thank you once again for the effort
I have the same problem as Potifar. I completely understand how to use Nifskope and Blender and when I get my item in-game through the GECK, the weighting is all screwed up. I can do weapons but clothing and armor is a nightmare for me.
But Growlf, this is much appreciated. Thank you. I guess we are all waiting for some updates to support exporting Fallout 3 nifs correctly. Until then, it's just a major headache.
This doesn't work, I edited some mesh without removing or adding vertices. When I went to game, the armor I had changed, was exteremely corrupted! I didn't receive error, but armor was true hodgepodge! HELP, what I did wrong!!?

It just magically works! (even if there's no difference in NifSkope!)
