My least favorite DLC as it ruined the ending. Sorry everyone who likes this DLC, but the ending before was great and they don't even give a reason as to why you lived. You knew that that was a one-way trip, you shouldn't be able to just rise from death just to continue the game for an hour and then no longer play because you finished everything.
You are the first person that favors the surprise ending over an extended playthrough. Who in their right minds would enjoy hitting a "game over" screen over the ability to see the fruits of your labor + an additional 10 levels.
Cuz SOME people hate being practicaly being forced to roleplay as a BoS knight instead of, you know, Lone Wanderer. What if my Lone wanderer prefers Small Guns and Light Armor, yet has to constantly deal with Albinos and Overlords? Get Power Armor armor and stock of Mini Nukes? Well I hate USING them and havent touched a Fat Man since GNR. Post-Game? Bah, exists just so you could play New main quest. You could play as Sara Lions and not much would have changed. In fact, it would have been thematicaly better. Sara and her Pack take on extreme missions, finish the Enclave and get to be Heros, finaly for us to see why they are special. Kinda like Tactics(havent played myself). Yeah, sure, side quests are Ok, you get to see how DC deals with water and underbelly of BoS, but not worth it to me. Bah, Bethesda had a freaking bias for BoS since base game. One of the first lines you get to say to GNR Sara is if they are looking for recruits and asking again right after dealing with Behemoth. sorry for a rant kinda bottled up inside In short: dlc for those like to constanly wear Power Armor, has 7000+ of all ammo and just Run-n-Gun everything they can(red dots on compass cuz they bad)
@NobodyIsntHere Over half of what you said has nothing to do with Broken Steel. Mini Nukes and Power Armor aren't required to play the DLC and nothing about it suggests it was targeted specifically towards players who did use them. Get off your high horse and go to bed, the adults are talking now.
so I type on google, fallout 3 custom dlc mod, and brother of steel dlc comes up, so I think cool I can get brother of steel for free, what a joke put in your damn title its a video demo instead of luring people away from browsing for real custom dlc.
This is for the people who think leaving a comment will get them more information than reading the blasted description.
At the top of the description page it says "This is a placeholder about the plugin you can purchase. This is mainly for the community to share comments and their ratings about their experience with the plugin (NOT the purchasing process)."
Go to the local store and buy the game of the year edition which has all the Expansion packs or just buy it on Amazon.com.
Well Benzsmoke, Lets Pretend Eden was still operating with a Vice pres. as second in command and that Col. autumn filled that role then let assume once he is gone we find our selves with an enclave commanded by whoever was running the Adams Air force base see ? therefore they are being ran by the remnants of their chain of command, funny since the enclave on the east coast are already remnants of the enclave right?
I have all the DLCs installed but couldn't move on from the end of Purity. I tried several mods and found this one worked - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9869 It is called Broken Steel MQ Optional.
I loaded a saved game close to the end of Purity with this mod installed and I moved two weeks ahead. Like some others I had a problem leaving the room I woke up in so I saved the game, quit and unticked the esp. When I loaded the saved game I could leave the room and start Broken Steel.
I don't know if one of my installed mods caused Broken Steel to break.
My favorite DLC! Not only does it expand the wasteland, it also improves it! With new enemies, quests, environments, and weapons. I'm happy to have this. Sure, it doesn't make sense that the Enclave are still around even after you personally murdered the President and their commander/general/leader-guy, or that the Enclave would use an orbital strike on Liberty Prime rather than the Citadel itself, and it still never explains why they wanted the purifier in the first place. But whatever...

...sorry, I'll get off my soap-box now.
