    So, okay, I'm trying to get the BSA Manager to load all the .bsa files. Of course, I'm getting the 256 character limit error. I shortened Archiveinvalidationinvalidated!.bsa to AII.bsa, but is it safe to change the names of any of the official .bsa files? What about Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch? Would changing the filenames of any of those mess up the game?

    @deckel11
    Yeah won't cause any problems if you keep the shortened names unless Bethesda needs patch the BSA's which I doubt since no one has found any nipples *looks at Oblivion*.

    Another question, Quazzy. I have been using v1.0.015+fakepatch+UF3P along with your BSA manager, but yesterday I took the plunge and upgraded to 1.6. Seems to be working fine so far, other than the lack of the VATS fixes. I wasn't sure if I would ever need to touch the BSA manager again, or rename the BSA files that I had previously shortened to get under the character limit. So far I haven't done either, and everything seems to be loading fine. Should I be OK?

    Thank you Quarn! <img class="> I'll link to this in the next Fake Patch OP. Here's hoping Fallout3.exe v1.6 is universally accepted so Fake Patch can finally retire.

    Well, it may be all in my head....but since installing Broken Steel (and reverting to v1.1+fake patch+UF3P because of all the 1.5 bugs) I've had a lot of random CTD's that I never had before. Now that I've repacked the BSA's and used your utility, I seem to have a lot less CTD's. Again, could be in my head, but I'll take it.

    Thanks, Quazzy. I'll probably switch back to "unpacked" and use your BSA utility. Just wasn't looking forward to looking for all the unpacked DLC files to make sure I delete them all.

    Well no one has hard figures if extracted BSA's are better or not... IMO better off with BSA's, won't have to worry about 10k+ files in your Fallout 3 folder and it makes installinguninstalling texturemesh replacers hell of alot easier.

    Quick question, Quazzy. I'm using v1.0 + fake patch + UF3P, and my workaround for playing the DLC's was to unpack all 3 BSA's to the data folder. With this new mod of yours, I take it that I wouldn't have needed to extract the BSA's.

    My question is, would there be a performance advantage to NOT unpacking the BSA's? Any reason I should expect the game to run better that way?
