    No Gifted? Surely that's Player Choice old chap - and FO3 needs every excuse to reduce the skill points!

    I was using another mod with Gifted, you can't really say it's unbalanced whrn a whole bunch o yer skills are <10, some <5! Unfortunately that version was buggin out above a certain level, he'd wrote in a perk rate=2 levels, this caused probs even tho I applaud the effort.

    This would be a durn good mod if Gifted was in it, but without it, it's of no use to me.

    I think it would be cool if The select option came up at the Birth scene, when your father says "What about you, I wonder what sort of person you'll be?"

    Is there a way to add the traits via the console?
    I ask because I was using the alternate start mod and it doesnt let you pick the traits.

    EDIT: oops posted in the old version, ill repost in the new version.

    I am eagerly watching this mod. As things stand (not being selected at character creation, apparently replacing lvl 2 perk, only being able to take one) I don't think I'll be downloading it now, but it does seem like a step in the right direction.

    If I may suggest something? It seems to me that "Child at Heart" would make a perfect trait.

    Ah, it's too bad you modified existing traits, since this is clearly a mod for new games (so no loss in new IDs and deactivating the old ones); now I have to make a compatibility patch <img class=">

    Great job, though! I love the old-school balance of a pro for a con. I'm already envisioning a good-natured mediator! <img class=">

    Yes, any Trait based on an existing Perk (which was based on an original Trait) replaces that Perk. A few names changed:

    Gunslinger -> One Hander
    Chemist -> Junkie
    Chem Resistant -> Clean Living

    I will soon be releasing a complete Perk revamp, which rebalances the existing Perks and adds 10+ new ones. It's designed to work with this mod, but can be used separately.

    I'm not going to make a bobblehead trait, but I make make a bobblehead related Perk.

    I do realize that some of the Traits that have SPECIAL bonuses may seem a bit weak, but as I stated earlier in the comments, those changes won't seem so weak when used in conjunction with my (forthcoming) revamp of the SPECIAL stats.

    Great job.

    I might make nighter person +2/-2 as it's too subtle otherwise. It might also be worth swaping INT for AGL. I know that's not 'Lore' but since AGL controls thing like sneaking and AP, it kind of makes sense that a 'night person' character would be better at the sneaky business.

    Also, +50% dmg for fast shot seems like a lot, even without vats. Maybe... +30%?

    I can't wait to be able to select two, so I can play a Heavy Handed Bruiser. That could be a lot of fun.

    I don't have strong feelings about any of these, just ideas.

    I have given this file a rating of 8

    Great Mod...but is it possible to get other languages?

    I want a german version, please. 8 Points so far.

    Many THX in Advance.

    I don't speak German-- if you want a version in another language feel free to translate it yourself or find someone who can.

    A thought for Gifted, since Stats themselves are nowhere near as important as they were in the originals, with almost everything now being driven by skills (not even intelligence altered scripts, sadly) It might be more balanced to work into this game.

    with an intelligence of 10, you get 20 skill points per level. if you were to make it something like gifted decreasing the initial stat bonus a bit, then pairing it with a penalty to SP per level, it could still work fairly well.

    sadly, i dont know the starting bonus formulas for SPECIAL to skills, but if you had it, it wouldn't be too hard to make a balanced version of the infamous trait.

    that said, definately a good step in the right direction. i'm eagerly looking forward to a completed product.

    You're right that SPECIAL stats aren't as important as they used to be... but that's also something I've been working on, I just haven't finished that yet. So I made these with the upcoming changed in mind, because I didn't feel like making multiple versions.

    Honestly, I still don't like gifted. It was too good and I never could make a character without it, so in a way this is me making sure I can't take it now either <img class=">

    One question...
    With the One-Hander Trait, is the %bonus to VATS aim, or general damage?

    VATS aim only, although if it seems a bit weak then I might add bonus/penalties to damage as well. Or maybe critical hit chance? seeing as that's sort of like accuracy...
