I recently added this to a load order with EVE, Project Beauty, Fellout, Vurt's grass GEM and a few others. So far in around 80 hours I have not seen any serious incompatibilities and seems to work fine with zero issues.
I'm getting this mod because my traders are stuck. Crow is at Megaton, Harith is at Rivet City. I don't know where the others are. I have had this issue happen with every character I've played almost and sometimes they get unstuck and start traveling, sometimes not. What would be really neat would be to have a terminal somewhere you can use to trade with all 4 of them remotely, that way you never have to go after them.
I have a simple plugin that sets the merchants (not the guards or brahmin) to essential. I have FWE and MMM and needless to say they will get minced pretty darn quick out there without being set accordingly.
very practical, I went ahead and used the V2 edition rather than risk the problems in V3
here's a suggestion, have it give -five- quests. one for each of the individual caravans, and one with all four shown. that way you can find exactly the one you want without worrying about the labels.
2 of my caravans are dead,just the cows standing about even resurrecting them makes no difference

you CAN resurrecct the dead traders,cows and guards,either through the ref id or base id then go see old matey in canterbury comon. then put above mod link to make essential
what if the caravaners are DEAD? (I think MMM killed them)
IIRC, they trackers still track the merchant until they key is removed from them, then it switches to track the cow until the cow is accessed (to remove the inventory).
