Poor Lucy. No smile and no sexy chatter and barely intelligent dialog. Her face is the most dour in Megaton, and that's saying a lot. If you modifiers want to make a great companion, work on Jamie in the Mansion. She is one of 80 followers and so far, and is the sexiest NPC in Fallout. She has limited speech also, but at least wh*%# talk is preferable to disinterested moronic talk that Lucy babbles. I just realized that MarGOT the Presidential train AI has more to say then any NPC in the game. She out talks even Elder Lyons. Type three bods, and revealing outfits are certainly fun to see, but how about some dialog to go along with all the titillation? Twenty dialog threads in addition to what they say now would be nice and this probably fits with most couples after work in reality. What would be really cool is a user option to add or modify dialogue. I don't know enough about the game code to make them do things with a dialog choice, but that would fun to do also. Dogmeat is a better companion than Lucy, because he can finish off an attacker faster than she can, and happily joins you when the combat is over. I have given up on poor, bland Lucy. I suspect the Sue Lyons companion is much the same.

Just tell her you want to trade equipment. She will wear whatever has the best armor rating. If you want her to wear something with a lower armor rating, trade her existing armor to yourself, so that it isn't in her inventory.

After you get the quest update, there will be a new dialogue option to give her wine. Just trading it to her doesn't work. you have to use the dialogue option.
