This is amazing work odin_ml. The best looking book retexture definitely. I really hate how block like they look in vanilla and other versions too, the burned and destroyed books are so difficult to tell apart from the floor sometimes when I loot (I take anything not bolted down) I can't tell the difference even with good retextures. This makes those books stand out.
In view of the prevalence of book01, how about swapping the burned version to something different to add a bit more variety? Actually, I suggest changing all burned books to completely different titles just to give a better impression of variety. (Yes, I know some books always having survived and some always having damage is odd, but so is having just four kinds of book in existence!) Just a thought. Great, great mod, thanks again!
They are excellent quality & also retain the retro 50's feel of Fallout 3.
Those mentioning the lack of a mixture in game, as I understand it that's because although there are 8 book models to choose from, vanilla Fallout 3 largely only uses one type: bookgeneric01. Probably because the vanilla books all looked the same. If they had used a variety, you would see more of the book types.
Someone would have to go into Geck & replace a load of the bookgeneric01 with some of the others by hand!
When I place books in mods I make sure to use a mix of all 8 so that these wonderful new covers appear in game.
This is a great start, and although I don't mean to undersell your work here, there really needs to be twice or three times the amount of books. As it is now, the books look great, but there's waaaay too many repeats and it looks strange, a problem that was avoided *lazily* by the generic look the books had.
I dunno how but I only get one type of "Pre-War Book" (the bluish-green one), the other I can't find anywhere. And this was so before this mod. Am I missing something?!
*EDIT: I'm referring to what you call 'generic' (in the screenshots), not 'burned' books.
if you are not using FOMM http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640 you should be, anybody who mods their game without it is a crazy person. FOMM has an option to "Toggle Invalidation" essentialy turning it off so you dont have to bother with using "archiveinvalidation.txt" try using FOMM to install/ toggle your invalidation, if that doesnt work for you then i have no idea.
I checked my file paths and even reinstalled, still no luck. I'll continue to look into this and try some things out. Thanks for getting back to me, by the way.
it sounds like you may not have install the book meshes, or you installed it in the wrong place. mod should be installed in the fallout 3/data directory
Looks like a great book mod, in my opinion, the best I've seen so far. I installed your mod but, all the book textures are the same. I am using ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated, hopefully that's not an issue. Any suggestions odin_ml? I would really like to use this mod and any help would be much appreciated.

Regardless, what's been done looks fantastic.
