I don't know where you have been asking for help or what has been said but...
What comes to texturing, use the "unwrap uvw" -modifier that can be found in the "modify"-panels "modifier list". Clicking "Edit..." will bring you to the "Edit uvws" window in which you can uvw-map. Top right of the edit uvw window you can change the backround texture to one of your material editor textures. From the Edit UVWs tools-drop down menu you can render uvw template map to help with texturing. There are also lots of other useful options...
I'm not sure but Max9, max2008 and max2009 might not be fully compatible with current nif plugins. BSDismemberSkin Modifier might cause crashing while exporting. You might want to try each of the three latest plugins if one of those would allow you to export.
in Pipmons defense, ive been trying to hlep him on the forums, but im running out of ideas. so i asked him to up the file on yousendit and i would take a look at it, but i guess he thought this would be a better way to put it up.

if not a quick recap: you need to add the folder textures before the armormattyarmorfile.dds in nifskope

I agree. Ask Alexscorpian and he is indeed a nice guy.
Any chance you can export it as an .obj to make it Blender compatible?
Still learning when it comes to armour but would be willing to try.
