For those who can't make it work, this might help

Convert your mp3's to mono channel and 96kbps bit rate mp3's with song converters (i used format factory). I did that and it works most of the time, gnr probably use more than 20 songs or just wrong song filename, i don't know about the files of this game, i just noticed because it's the same 2 old songs if i remember it right, and the rest of my modded mp3's just played. Oh and you must have archive invalidation active, see here

    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/944 (ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated)

I used the manual version, backup your files according to the instruction before applying, follow all the steps in the html.

Interestingly, this works for me but IPip radio mod doesn't. Just complete silence while i slaughter enemy npcs while their friends run away in terror.

doesn't work. don't bother with this mod, the instructions are useless and hardly even begin to describe what you're meant to do.

So I have added the music. Wanted more than 20 (in total 60 at the moment) so I converted them to .ogg files. But GNR keeps on playing the old songs.
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to rename the .ogg files? If so, to what? There are only 20 titles given in the textfile.

Thought I might say this incase some one is getting no music or it simply plays the old songs. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are really picky about what is considered a mp3. Get a mp3 converter, I'd recommend this online one: http://audio.online-convert.com/convert-to-mp3 and convert your mp3s into mp3s again, then put them back into the folder. It usually works for me. This can apply to other custom radio songs as well as the ingame music such as the battle and ambient music. All of this will also apply to New Vegas as well like I said before. I hope this was helpful to any one.

I'm having the same problem Pointystick did. I believe that I did everything right, and I made the same corrections he was told to, but mine still won't work. Still the old songs.

Where is the ArchiveInvalidation supposed to go? That may be part of it, and is as good a place to start as any.

I've notice this works when u have the radio selected in the pip boy but when theres a radio lets say in the train tunnels its just silent when the songs come on. If you could fix that it would be great

So I'm trying to make this work but the readme instructions are a bit confusing. Can someone clarify what to do with the ArchiveInvalidation file that comes with this download?

Am dling this now, but am wondering if it's possible to add more the 20 tracks? 20 tracks repeating over and over, gets old fast.

So, if I added, say, 100 tracks, would it still work?

    Edit:
I installed as directed, but it does not play my music. All music was coverted to .ogg so that isn't the issue. Installed it to the sound folder as stated, so that isn't the issue.

Mod incompatibility? More then likely. I will fiddle with it and see what I can come up with.
