This messed up the "Hardcore mode" ported from new vegas mod... all the food had its healing values changed and messing with load order didn't fix it... if someone has an alternative mod... would be greatly appreciated

Has a problem worth mentioning: overwrites some fixes by the Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.

I think that it is intended. Do you want to change weights or not?

I came here to offer this warning as well. I know this thread is old, but I feel it's worth highlighting this issue. While the weight change is definitely intended, this mod overwrites non-weight changes for items as well. Essentially reverting them to vanilla in everything except weight. This might be reverting pipboy icon changes, item effects in necessities mods, item re-categorizing, etc. Even with a merge/bash patch you will want to verify in FO3edit that the important non-weight changes from other mods got forwarded. The mod DOES change weights, but if you're not wanting to mess with FO3edit, I'd advise just raising your encumbrance limit over using this weight mod. You'll experience far, far less conflicts.

Incompatible with Fallout Wanderer's Edition... Kind of obvious for some but it wasn't for me. But your work is nice, if a bit unnoticed.

Nice mod but has one flaw it has 160+ dirty edits that are duplicate to master. ANYONE using this mod MUST clean it first, so they wont have CTD issues. I hope this helps those that use it, but it does work as described.

Any advice on where should be loaded in the mod list? First, last?

Also I would for this mod to be supported in BOSS (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10193)

I'm not sure, I'm not an expert, but I think the least important and simple mods should be loaded first. That way the more important ones can override them if they need to, and they're not overriding the important ones.

Very true that the weight of items needs to be totally revamped. However, I believe alot of items have higher than normal realistic wieghts due to the fact that the game has no concept of BULK (volume). This was achieved in past games by having a grid inventory with each item taking up a certain amount of squares. Good examples are Diablo and Deus Ex. Being able to carry a rocket launcher, sniper rifle, nuke launcher, a variety of handguns, infinite stim packs etc. is far more unrealistic no matter how strong you may be. I speak from experience as a Iraq war veteran, I was a SAW gunner Marine infantryman. What determines how much you can carry is more a case of your pocket accessories, such as cargo pockets and a back pack. If there was a way to add not only a weight value to items but a volume as well, and then give your clothing and bag accessories a volume carry level, THAT would be your most realistic example. Unfortunatly, I have yet to see this in any game. Bethesda, being the LAZY game makers that they are simply put the two together and hoped it would strike a balance. So if you are going to decrease weights for realism, you best also figure out a way to add bulk values to items.
