The power armor is already equipped with a power source, according to fallout 1 lore iss capable to sustain the suit for a very long time (in the hundreds). makes no sense that it should require fission batteries to operate.
I can't uninstall the power armor overhaul.esp Jaynus, can you please make an uninstall .esp like for the HungerThirstSleep.esp to uninstall it successfully.I liked the idea but I get spammed power armor inactive perks and my fission batteries keep disappearing as soon as I get one (very annoying as I use the RobCo certified mod that requires fission batteries to repair robots) even when I am not wearing power armor.
I can't see why the Desert Eagle would be a deal-breaker for most fans of the series, it's a classic from Fallout and Fallout 2.
That said, I found out through some trouble-shooting that it's the Ammo Overhaul module that causes the conflict with the Ghouls. (I think mainly with Crowley, but then all the others get involved.) It's a shame because I like that module, but leaving it turned off will probably will work. (Using player.removeallfactions didn't work for me.)
I had the same issue with Power Armor Inactive spamming my Perks list, too. In fact, I didn't even have power armour but Recon armour, and the Fusion batteries were still getting used up! I like the idea in general but the battery consumption goes against the mod's stated ideal of bringing the game back to the earlier Fallouts.
Some cool things to add: night-vision for Power Amour and/or Recon armour, delayed Stimpack activation.
