    It's been quite some time since I last looked at this page, and to my amazement people are still using this mod! And holy crap 1339 endorses! I still remember cheering over 100

    To the straggling remnants still interested in this mod, I must inform you that there will be no more improvements to the mod in the foreseeable future.
    The biggest issue of the mod was that I simply ran out of dialogue. I wanted to create a deep storyline and stuff and could have done it with ease but Amata's voice files are too one-sided to make that happen.

    I know some folks still have problems with this mod and it shames me to know this, but please be aware that I did my best to fix all issues that I knew of. As far as I know, if you follow the (admittedly unnecessarily complicated) walkthrough needed to make Amata work fine, then she should work fine. I can only assume that the majority of you will either get her working right off the bat or know some console-command-fu to make the extra touches if she bugs out.

    I understand that this mod never really got to its full blossom but I did what I could.

    P.S. I apologize to anyone who has had problems with this mod. I've never been a very good modder and never will be.

      Sad to hear there will be no more updates but it works fine for me and I'll keep on using it.
      P.S. You might not be a "very good modder" but you made a great mod here and thanks for the hours of enjoyment.

      Please don't quit out on this mod, I always felt that Amata had something that the vanilla game never followed, recently I stumbled upon this mod which fixes what Bethesda didn't, please don't leave this mod!

      Oh. That's too bad. I was looking forward to some updates when you said you'd be doing more work on this.
      Oh well. If it can't be done it can't be done. This is still a great mod as it is though.
      I think this is actually the first Fallout mod I ever used. In other words, this is the mod that got me into Fallout modding, so, thanks for making it at all.

      Might I start with how wonderful of a modder you truly are. I am sad to hear you are considering not updating your fantastic Amata Mod. You've done a great job adding something so many people craved.

      I was actually drawn to your mod through a fanfiction inspired by your mod.

      If you want to get more dialogue, you could try getting a voice actor to do some dialogue.
      But it is not my place to demand stuff, it is your mod.
      No matter what, I will enjoy the Alternate Universe addition you made for the Fallout Universe.
      Edit: Also, I was wondering... By recruiting Amata at the beginning, how does that impact the Trouble on the Homefront quest?

      the best option i can say to fix this is to use voice actors or hell just use text for us to read. its better then nothing. remember in older games they did not really have voiced npcs. u had to read what they said. (i find times like that u get more indeath and detailed talking then u get with voice actors in today's world where everything is to limted in what they say..

      Hey i speak to her in vault and i got 100% chance, but her says she needs to stay in vault, im not english soo i dont understand wheel your tutorial.

      I use this in conjunction with fallout 3 sexout. now I will be getting a great reward at the end if u catch my drift...

      great mod Lawlder, seems the probs i been reading about here are common with all followers, they get lost, and those bothersome doors when they dont appear on the other side with you. its a prob even in vanilla fo3. good job on this, you figured out something i could not. i made a teleport device for her to solve her disappearing. i dont know what the issue i have with the G.EC.K is. but it dont seem to like this mod, gets hung on the perks for Amata, could be just win7, i have had many issues with fo3 stuff and the g.e.c.k. in win7. im about to set up an XP box again just for fo3. the reason i talk about my troubles is, without the g.e.c.k. i was unable to make an add-on to this mod, and place it in-world to be found, i had to add it to her inventory thus i had to mod your mod. i will upload the .esp only, they will still have to come here for the rest of it, hope you dont mind.

      Please Help Me

      I failed Amatas speech check and when I reload a save from 10 - 30 mins ago the game remembers I failed it, as such I can not recruit Amata, please help me and thank you for this mod.

      I deactivated and reactivated the mod, it still remembers that I failed the speech check please help

      Oh my days I thought as she said the vault needs me when you fail and she would say that upon reload that it didnt work, I didnt realise that the check was after that dialogue, everything is good, much love to Lawlder

      I just took a look at revisited and this in fo3edit, there is doesn't seem to be any reason the two won't work together, revisited doesn't use the vanilla NPCs. With no edits that will simply mean that during revisited there would be two NPCs named Amata (probably with different appearances) - for mine a renamed Amata in revisited to Ariana (cause there is a companion mod that has Ariana as Amata's sister)

      I just wanted to see Butch being able to be hired when getting Amata right on Escape! Currently this isnt possible

      vpontin - Can the console set Butch's current state though? Maybe try using the console to complete Trouble on the Homefront with the proper results, then check his dialogue?

      I have the same issue, and can't access Trouble on the Homefront. Not a big deal to me though, both are quite meh to me.

      I suppose this shouldn't be a supprise, considering I am just getting back into Fallout 3. Good luck with things! By the way, if you do dip your toes back into the game, I don't think anyone will have a problem with this mod being updated with more stuff and no voices, if that's what it takes.

      You should have some girl do her voice then. And make a way to get her if you do kill her dad.

      I don't think that in lore she would want anything with you if you KILL HER DAD.
      .
      But you know what i would love?
      A companion mod that makes the companions stop following you and moving to your house instead.
      So that you could befriend, make quest for, and romance companions without having the bother of walking with those bug creating machines all the time.
      'Cause let's be honest, no one uses a companion for gameplay reasons, only for roleplay.
      .
      It could be like you're recruting your own faction and could make people from Megaton, River City and that stupid tower react to this.
      And the people that you choose and how they act and what quests you did and your karma, all could affect the reactions of people and the rewards you could get.
      .
      Maybe you could make so said companions guard and help at your base.
      And it would be even better if you could add rooms to those companions in your house.

      Hi! After playing F04 last few years, finally started playing thru FO3 (waiting for a few mods to release for next FO4 runthru).
      One of my biggest regrets for my character is not being able to bring her bestie Amata with her - heartbroken separation, felt forced to kill the overseer too.. wish I saw this mod before starting!! Well, next FO3 playthru I'm trying this!!

      Lawlder, I know its been awhile.. but now that F3VA Synth is around, are you thinking about expanding this if Amata's voice can be replicated?

      Hey there Lawlder,
      While it saddens me that you never had the chance to let this follower mod blossom into what you wanted, I completely understand that you have no obligations to continue work on it. I hope that you see this reply even after all these years, as I just wanted to let you know that I'm very grateful it exists at all, and that even in 2023 it still finds use (as I just downloaded it for my first PC playthrough).

    I love this mod but unfortunately it broke the Trouble on Homefront quest,  I tried various things and I think I finally got it.

    1. I recommend going to the clinic where she should be.
    2. Console: prid 000282D4.
    3. Talk to her (do Quo Vagis if you have it).  You will not have the other needed dialogue options.  She will be partially a companion partially not.
    4. Console: CompleteAllObjectives 14ea3
    5.  Leave the Vault.
    6. Amata will not be with you.
    7. Console: prid 1ce25
    8. Console: Enable
    9. Console: moveto player
    10. She should appear, with all inventory and companion status intact.

    There is a button right inside the door of the Megaton Commons building that will spawn her in her follower version

    This also works if you've already finished both starting quests to get her

    Do not use this mod together with Ties That Bind. They do NOT play nice together. If you have this mod, Amanda from Ties That Bind will not spawn where she is supposed to in the vault. You will not find her until you get to Ravenrock. And when you find her and she tells you to go pick up dad's body, if after that you talk to her at any point, she will default to her dialogue when you find her in Paradise Falls, telling you to free her. She will then stand in place and repeat her dialogue when you talk to her. So yeah, using this and Ties that Bind is not recommended. You have to pick one. Unless you know a way to make them work together, which I dont.

      What did not work, the mod?  If you have gotten that far in the game, you will have to wait until you start a new game to try and recruit Amata.  The only two times you have an opportunity to recruit her, is at the beginning of the game, during Escape, and when finishing Trouble on the Homefront, before you leave for good.

    Question if I already have her as a companion how do I start the quest trouble on the homefront turf. Because to be honest I also want to get a butch companion even though he wasn’t very nice in the beginning

    I absolutely LOVE this mod, with the exception you can't dismiss Amata without being very rude. 
    Additionally this mod will not work (unless I'm doing something wrong) with the mod, Vault 101 Revisited, by KeneticKat. I had to disable Follower Amata to run the 101revisited then I could not recruit Amata agian even with console commands. Had to roll back to before 101 Revisited to have Amata back at my side.

      That is probably because both mods edit the same things and clash with one another. Stuff like that would need patching.

    Aight I don't expect anyone to read this but here it goes. I have a problem where she keeps getting stuck in interiors, won't follow me out of them. Also won't spawn if I try to fix it by fast-traveling somewhere. I notice this especially happening with interiors related to mods. Is there a fix for this other than reloading a save and making her wait outside?

      When mods are not Navmeshed properly this happens.
      Or even in Pitt/ PL.
      Best to do not bring companions into questionable spaces.

      With console commands you most likely cure that problems without constant reloading.
