wth, I installed it all correct but Fawkes still looks the same.... I extracted the meshes folder from the zip file into the Data folder and everything, I go in the game and he still looks the same.
For those having trouble installing: You can't install the whole file via a mod manager, you have to extract the files and choose the model you prefer, then, install it by dropping your version of choice into you data\meshes\creatures\smspinebreaker folder, or you can repack it an install it from archive via your mod manager of choice. And fyi, option one doesn't seem to work at all. If you use blender try importing option one in and re-exporting... haven't tried it but that usually works on wonky meshes.
in the Mart mutant mod there is a "Super mutant enforcer" that spawns with the enclave. It is pretty much a Super Mutant wearing Enclave armor ala Frank Horrigan, you could use that skin to make another unique version of Fawkes. Maybe perhaps give him Hellfire armor. to set him apart.
